Well, see, usually Molly's pretty right about Ray -- we've talked a lot lately about his generosity, and usually he is pretty good about (sometimes inadvertently) helping those around him. Maybe that's why the Hot Sauce party seems so, well, off to me. Using his party as a profitable event seems very anti-Ray, and I have to wonder if Waterbury is somehow involved in this sinister turn of events.

(Not to mention it solidifies "Rad Chilis" hot sauce as being an actual part of the fictional world, which raises the question again of the dividing line between actual reality and comic reality. Why is Ray not only apparently aware that Chris runs a site about him and his friends but condones marketing through it? What?)

I don't think he wants to make money off Rad Chilis hot sauce. He just wants his hot sauce to be a popular hot sauce which people will buy and use.

Enough to make me change my sig.

And Philippe's little first encounter with Judas Priest reminds me of mine. Though less scary.

my take: ray made his hot sauce and likes it so much he wants to give everyone in the world the opportunity to try it because it's so good.

ray had someone bottle his sauce because he doesn't know how else to get everyone to try it.

ray gets bored with hot sauce.

waterbury realizes ray has eleventy warehouses of hotsauce sitting around and thinks it would be good for Ray to sell them (and good for waterbury because if ray goes broke...).

in short: It's a Fetid Plan from England, or, The Butler did It.  Next time, on Blog Watch!

My great regret is that Beef did not actually school that priest. He's right; priests have nothing on him.

Does anybody else start singing Jenny Says in the heads when they go to Molly's blog?

I start singing "Lisa Says" by the Velvet Underground, but with Jenny instead of, y'know, um, Lisa.

"Candy Says" works too.  But "Stephanie Says" doesn't.

This weekend I had some friends visit from out of town, and one of them brought his two year old daughter and a three year old nephew.  On Friday night when the grownups decided to go to bed we managed to get the three year old moved to where he'd be sleeping without waking him, but when we moved the two year old, she stirred a bit.  It looked like she was going to get back to sleep, so we got ready for bed ourselves.  About five minutes later the stereo came on at full volume, waking everybody in the house.

Apparently she had gone over to the stereo and started playing with the knobs and buttons and managed to get it turned on and all the way up.  This of course woke the three year old, who started screaming, which started the two year old screaming.  This continued for the next hour and a half.

Enjoy, those of you about to have kids!
