the alt text is the best part, almost.  Nets on public school basketball hoops, then USB ports, then the alt text.

i guess cheney does not like the curly wire.  i agree with him on that as well as the kung pao riblets.  my vote is for the general.

All actual political threads will be moved. Strip time, folks.

I think I'm just in love with Beef's Cheney impression. It's so... so.... so hunchbacked and surly that it works perfectly.

Nothin' but a miserable little $500 equity in a life insurance policy. You're worth more dead than alive. "

Yeah, I am in agreement re: the alt text being the most rad part of this.  I was scared when the comic loaded and I was faced with the prospect of Achewood Going Political, but I am very much of the opinion that it worked out for the best.

I thought Cheney was played by Pat, which made sense to me because Pat's a cranky sumbitch himself.  He's perfect for the part.

Furthermore, "Cheney" appears to come down squarely in support of curly-wire telephones rather than against them as suggested by Filas.

I'm almost certain that's Beef, because Beef and Teodor are usually the ones responsible for Roomba Theater, and besides, do you think Pat would stand for this?

I, too, am gratified by the lack of serious politics, just the politics of curly-wire telephones.

Two things I love about this strip:

1. When it's on current affairs, it's very current and hilarious.
2. It's not often on current affairs.

I think Pat would be petulant about being cast as someone against lawsuits of dubious merit, which would only enhance the quality of his performance.  It's good casting.

Also: do you think Teodor is wearing proper trousers?  Or is he still rockin' the pantaloons with that suit jacket?

That hair on T had me wondering how to vote for him.

That is some classy styling of the 'do.

I like how, in the last panel, T is actually reading off of a sheet. Little things, man, little things.

He's right though - telephone handsets should be connected by curly wire.  This roaming about while on the phone must stop!

Nice funny and partisan strip.  Usually the political strips don't "take sides" as far as the election goes, but this one is obviously pro-Edwards/Kerry.

Interesting.

I don't get that bias at all.  Seems to me it's taking a shot at Edwards for mudslinging, and also at Cheney for quietly taking it in the #####, as it were.

I initially thought the role of Cheney was being played by Paul F. Weiss, but on a second glance, it does look more like Beef.

Well, the mudslinging is exaggerated, but Cheney did vote against those things in the first panel (although of course with all of the pork and combined bills it's hard to pick one issue and say anyone voted "against" it).
