Hey kids,

I've been spending the weekend reading specs and looking at examples of various syndication feeds in order to create some for my Poetry X web site.

However, while I can validate my feeds, I really have no idea if they're useful or not.

Does anyone who uses a news aggregator regularly let me know if feeds to news items for this web site is useful, or if there's any info being left out that shouldn't be?

Links to various feed formats are at the bottom of this page (with handy orange buttons to boot):

Poetry X

Thanks.

If this works okay I may make a feed for this board.

running firefox 1.0, have clicked the little feed icon in the status bar for both atom and rss feeds.  will check periodically.

is it on purpose that the atomx feed links to the news archive post
while the rss feed links to the full article?

Hmm... I'm not sure.

See, each "News" item has of course a full news article, as well as a link associated with what that news article is *about*.

The RSS 1.0 / RDF standard seems to have this "about" link covered - but the other two I'm confused about what I should put for the link.  Atom at least allows multiple links per "entry," whereas RSS 2.0 only allows one link per "item."

I'm still fine-tuning it before I use the new PHP class I wrote to generate it on other sites (like this one), so any suggestions or demands are more than welcomed.
