Making money from art is not vulgar. Art is a commodity. It makes people feel something. It raises the greater sum of human happiness. It increases the gaiety of the nation. It has a value. -John Allison

I remember Bobby Isosceles saying that he was going to wait until Onstad lost interest in the premium assetbar before signing up and downloading all the content. News about content made me think that the time is right. Now, Bobby, now. Except you're baleeted.

I paid for it, downloaded the PDFs (haven't looked at them yet), and have no regrets.

While reading this announcement I just noticed the Shop link is gone entirely.  Has it been like that for a while and I'm just noticing? I assume this means I'll never get that cookbook I paid for last year.

I've been paying since he started it. While I don't love that the segmentation into paid-for and not, the man has given me many a chuckle and there are far too many strips that are etched into my memory. In return for that, I'm willing to toss the occasional shiny dollar in his direction.

The chapbooks that he posted t'other day are some pretty tough chuckles. Except without the chuckles. From reading them, I can only imagine that the dude is going through some tough times. I've got some good friends who suffer from the dark dog and reading those chapbooks feels rather like deja-vu. Even Roast Beef seems happier than Onstad does.

I think I noticed that a couple of weeks ago.

Chris may want to speak to his physician about Abilify.

Also:  What is the point of reviewing a concert?  It's over.
