We dressed them up in their costumes and took them over to the main bar/restaurant, where they ate pizza, gave glowsticks/bracelets to the staff, and generally enjoyed being the center of attention.  A few complete strangers bought them candy from the hotel gift shop.  So they had a good time, despite no proper trick-or-treating.

And Halloween was saved! Hurray! Your little ones are super-cute, Mr. The Mayor.

I haven't seen The Birds, either, but my understanding is that it's a pretty bad movie. Psycho, Rope, and Dial M for Murder are worth your time, though.

Oh man. Rope is so freaking cool. Two guys kill a buddy, stuff him in a trunk, and proceed to have a dinner party (including corpsey's girlfriend) RIGHT ON the trunk. Almost the whole movie done in a single tracking shot. InTENSE. But yeah, watching that man get high was good too.
