So, I sent a package off to Spouse FedEx 2 day, it wasn't cheap but it was necessary. Spouse was home when the delivery guy pulled up to her building, dude tried the secure door and bailed, didn't try calling her phone number from where she could have buzzed him in and taken receipt.

Well, OK then. So I have Spouse call FedEx Int'l and they check and assure her the package is at the airport depot. So she calls a cab and while waiting calls a confirms a second time that the package is waiting at the depot for her.

So she hops in the taxi, runs on out there and is told the package is still on the truck and they don't start returning for about an hour. Meanwhile the taxi is idling up the pennies outside. And it's the middle of no where and she doesn't have her phone to call another taxi. So she sets up to pick up the package at the desk today and returns.

We'll see how today goes...

My decision is gonna be how much time/effort I want to put into this. It ain't about the ca$h so much, but slack-jawed service on a pre-paid basis just torques my nuts beyond specification.

Sometimes straightening people out isn't worth it, math-wise. But sometimes we do it because they need the straightening. Good luck in your endeavor.

As soon as I read the title I knew I didn't need to check who started this thread.

That is some stone cold idiot incompetence though, maybe drop hints that it would be a shame if they didn't get the package delivered before the timer runs down?

I would be willing to spend a fair amount of time tracking down the right person to yell at for that one and giving them a piece of my mind. Someone's got to do it or eventually it just becomes OK to treat people like that, you know?

FedEx is picking up the second cab ride. Victory in honest measure!
