Same back at you if you can pronounce Jough.
its easier to just not bother and call him "that dude".

It's best to call him El Guapo. Never forget that he is God's Own Dick.

Anybody watch Justified? I'm enjoying this season so far but I feel like I'm waiting for it to coalesce or something. Probably because last season is one of those seasons that people compare to the Wire. Sure it was about a cowboy hat wearing US Marshal but it's really about so much more. Mostly I just think the characters are great and I love the dialogue.

Peep Show is so great. I'm glad that at least in the UK the main character can be a misanthropic, socially anxious monster of a man. It is worrisome how much I identify with Mark.

I would watch more Adventure Time if it was a little less not appropriate for a five year old.
I like Finn and Jake just fine, but the youngest has to wait to rot his brain at that level.

I let my lil 4.5 yr old nephew watch that show when he's over. I guess I'm not seeing the brain rot in that one?

your nephew will get really into Stoner humor without realizing it, and CPS will get sent to his house to see if he is smoking pot.

Yeah, see I work for the Canadian version of CPS, CFS, so the thing is, I'm already in the room with him. And also we do not care about people smoking pot. It is not a thing.

I don't mean I don't care about if my kids or the kids I care about and if they smoke pot - I mean CFS doesn't care if a kid or parent smokes pot. We are basically powerless to do anything about it in my location. I was really keen on decriminalization back when I was not directly in the trenches. Now I've seen enough young kids putting themselves and others in danger because of getting high on weed and I wish maybe things weren't so slack, at least when it comes to kids who arn't old enough or who don't have the capacity to understand risk.

I don't mean that diff'rent stokes thing as a slam at all.
As a parent, you have to accept that other people are going to do and view some things different. Little stuff like what you choose to watch on the telly together is not a thing unless someone has a stick up their keister.

For instance, I am not wrapped around the axle about mild violence or nudity, but I have to watch out for bad language because their language deficits are such that they'll repeat words and phrases with no regard for meaning or context. Most seven-year-olds get that you don't drop F-bombs in front of Grandma, but Danger Boy doesn't have that level of social awareness yet. So I have to be more vigilant than other parents.
We showed them the first half-hour of Star Wars for the first time last night. Pedro cried. It was awesome.
