Hello my fine internet friends.  I'm searching for a needle in a haystack.

My father remembers a piece of music that he and my mother used to sing in Church way back in the day.  The song is called Weary and Blue.  He doesn't know the name of the composer so it's virtually impossible to find any information about it on the internet.

He thinks it may be in what he is calling a "convention book," which is a collection of songs like in a hymnal.  He mentioned Stamps Baxter.

Does anyone know if there is there any resource that may be able to help in our search?

Maybe you might have some luck posting your question on the Stamps-Baxter School of Music Facebook page?  Since they're a bunch of Southern Gospel Music Aficionados, so maybe they'll recognize the song even if it's not from a Stamps-Baxter hymnal.

Do your folks recall any of the lyrics or the tune it played to?
