@achewood Barely passed Oregon driver's test. Lots of rules about Yielding to the Distraught and slow-moving salmon trucks on one-way switchbacks.

I have heard it suggested that Vonnegut said our species' epitaph will be, "It was too expensive to save ourselves."

I haven't been able to confirm that Vonnegut actually said that, but it's true nonetheless.

I'm not a down on government kind of guy, I just don't think it's a priority for any of them right now, mainly because of the no wars thing.

Well obviously the military will be involved. When we get there and find this planet teaming with life we're gonna need somebody to take care of the indigenous peoples.

Remember, man, no matter how much we go out there and cack it up, the universe will eventually squash our ass and it'll be like we never existed. If we don't go out there and just cack it along here we'll get the same result so we might as well have some fun along the way to extinction.

Reminds me of this.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, MOTHERFUCKERS.

I hope our future is not like the humans in Starship Troopers.

If we find life that is in our way and can't kill us first, Dan, you know it will be.
