Regarding Ray's clean bill of health, I was coming here to ask what "the 'chlam" was, but I assume that he is referring to Chlamydia. I think I was thrown by the leading apostrophe, implying that letters were removed from the front of the word. Now that I've figured this out, I don't know why I'm posting this.

I don't know why I'm posting this.
For the honor and lifelong respect of your peers, no matter how dubious it might be, that being the first poster brings.
-
Mr. Bear's post is poetry, especially the last part. And, yeah, when talkin' about STDs, you gotta abbreviate them. The herp, the clap, the gon, ETC.
Also, a Sexual Safety Party sounds awesome/awful.
-
The safe-sex party was pretty rad, even if Ray copped out on the food issue, but I mostly dug Téodor's anti-Thom Yorke entry... even if I suppose I technically am a politically active vegan.
-
I am especially fond of "the Hi-Five" as an abbreviation for HIV. That has a certain amount of style, y'know?

It's also not the first time (http://www.achewood.com/index.php?date=11122002) we've seen him use it.
I'm trying to figure out where everybody was when Mr. Bear got home. Were they all just asleep after Ray's party or something? And will Chris ever collect the rent?
-
Around here people just call it "Hiv" (rhymes with give) or sometimes "The Hiv" and they're not being ironic about it.
-
Cornelius is pure poetry.
A tray of charcuterie and breads sat nearly untouched on a sideboard, and several boutique ales floated in a pool of half-dissolved ice. I was a man and it was a meal and the perfection with which we executed our mutual purposes was lost on neither of us.
I mean, that's beautiful. Not webcomic-derived blog beautiful, but beautiful beautiful.
-
Oh, fuck.
FUCK.
-
I LOVE YOU MOLLY!
-
*Scowls at Molly.*
-
Oh, fuck.
FUCK.
Yup. Ack.
-
?!
-
Yeah, but Molly moved out. Shouldn't she bear some responsibility for initiating contact with Beef? I mean, she should know how he is. Why would she be surprised that he's acting all neurotic and stuff?
-
It is probably wrong that this only made me less sympathetic towards Molly, right?

indeed, i agree with you 100%. i also assert that Molly is as neurotic in her own way, and i offer that she loves and dates(dated) beef as some proof.
beef and molly are as doomed as any doomed romance.
doomed.
doomed, i say.
doooooooooooomed!
-
It is probably wrong that this only made me less sympathetic towards Molly, right?
No sir. Molly is being more of a dirt dogg than Beef, if'n you ask me.
-
It is probably wrong that this only made me less sympathetic towards Molly, right?
YES this is WRONG.
This is SO SAD.
-
Molly obviously suffers from Borderline Personality Disorder, and it's a very tough thing to be in a relationship with someone with BPD.
Yes, it is sad that Molly is over-dramatising her break-up, especially since they never actually broke up and it was SHE who moved out and ditched Beef when he needed her the most - but fuck*ng up her own life is just WHAT SHE DOES and hopefully when she hits bottom she'll think of contacting Beef again, the man who loves her and has used a ***** dog to fill the void in his life left by Molly's absense.
-
beef and molly are as doomed as any doomed romance.
Maybe it's just me, but, why is it the doomed romances always seem the most important! Maybe it's because of the reasons they are doomed inthe first place...
-
FUUUUUUUUCK
-
Dang, I must be the only one who was starting to gain some sympathy for Molly. In retrospect, I think that maybe it wasn't that bad an idea for her to get her own place if living with Beef was too much right then. Beef certainly had reservations (http://www.achewood.com/index.php?date=10202004) about taking that step.
I think he overreacted a bit when she got her own place. She has made an effort (http://www.achewood.com/index.php?date=11022004) to keep in touch, anyway.

Tyco trigger-car race track with 25 interchangeable track sections.
Hell, Philippe, I'm how many moons older than you, and now that you mention it, I want that for Christmas!
I mean, that's beautiful. Not webcomic-derived blog beautiful, but beautiful beautiful.
You said it, brother. I've been saying for a while that there are new art forms just opening themselves up all the time, ones that, when approached with the right amount of artistry, are no less valuable than the historical, more traditional "great works." You just have to get past the fact that it is GIFs on the internet, and you can put it in a new, much broader, category of literature. I think Achewood is one of those things.*
This line, however, is Great in the old sense.
Mr Onstad: you are a poet.
[ Franz. ]
*Of course, at times, it's just idle entertainment, but my point is that Achewood is, at moments, Literature with that big ol' capital L.
-

I agree with Andalucia et.al. Molly should suck it up and remember who left who. She wants to bitch about Beef's life but he makes enough to keep Gramma K in house and wine. What's she got? Some clothes, a computer, and a hoochie roommate.
Also, I'm analyzing a fictional relationship between fictional CATS on of which is a computer programmer and the other of which is a waitress.
This sucks. Pat, shoot me next.
-
With all the time that Roast Beef and Molly spend on the computer, they should read each other's blogs.
-
As an off topic aside on the subject of the McDonalds Monopoly Game, I once had a roommate in college who was obsessed with the game. He ate at McDonalds several times daily until he had his board filled out with every thing but the rare pieces for each prize. Believing he was very close to winning, he took the $18 we had in our beer fund and bought 18 medium cokes, just for the game pieces.
And that man grew up to be Ray Smuckles, all high and stealing Teodor's game pieces.
-
Shit! ouch! Someone get me an AIBO, Stat!
-
How has Lyle been getting pretty bad lately? Isn't he in Scotland?
-
Oh. Big continuity ouch.
HOWEVER: Lyle getting bad lately could mean since he opened the Sani-Taco. That's a big overspiced-meat and refried-bean diet, not to mention the onions and cheese.
Philippe may be thinking longer-term than we know.
-
I guess I'll ride some bus somewhere and get another job and another apron.
That is the Saddest Thing, mainly because it seems to be the life I'm going to end up in.
You say, "Poor Molly." I say, "Poor us."
-
Oh sure, Ray wins the $million because he needs the walking-around-money. Bastard. Actually, I had no idea they were even running the game again until Ray mentioned it in his blogs.
Lyle makes way more sense when he's sober. I kind of like it.
-
Sergeant Bill Callahan, eh? I wonder if that's a veiled reference to the former Raiders and current Cornhuskers head coach.
