I thought for one horrible moment Circus was going to balance his entire body on his erect cock or something but his trick was actually rad.
Circus is a nice guy!
Phillipe as a pirate is one of the cutest things though.
Sanrio should be afeared!
Edited to add the word "erect" me hearties!
-
The hug and kisses comment made me think this was going to go somewhere weird, but my fears were unnecessary.
Seven dollars is such a nice amount too, if he'd gone for five or ten you'd assume he just grabbed the first note he saw, but seven, thats enough to see he put some thought into it. Seven dollars is a lot of money when you are five.
This comic also makes it clear that Circus c*ck follows the first name surname convention, I hope someone calls him 'Mr. c*ck' soon.
-
Or maybe he just didn't want to say "c*ck" to a five year old.
-
Whoa, that is some tender lovin' being lavished upon those soft pieces of green paper in panel 10! It seems to me that Phillippe appears more than usually naïve offering that kind of promises to an amount of currency. Flowers, french fries, I can understand, but legal tender?
Wait, that sounded wrong..
Also, it is good to hear that I wasn't the only who thought "he's going to do some c*ck-trick (http://www.thestranger.com/seattle/Content?oid=3666)" when I read panel 8.
But Circus is a cool guy - he wouldn't scar 5-year-olds for life like that.
-
I think Circus should meet Pat.
-
is it just me or does circus look to be related to nice pete?
-
I too was fearing something along the lines of Family Guy (Does this look like a 'Q' to you? How about now?)
Panel 1 = Awesome.

But you, my friend, were totally willing to scar us with that. I think it made me more than usually glad for having girl parts and not knowing about baseball, though.
I liked how Phillippe was so excited about the circus that he threw his box-hat right over his shoulder.
Edit: Oooh, we made Google give us ads for pirate-gear!
-
Google loves us all.
-
I bet Circus c*ck can do exactly one cock push-up.
-
I think Circus should meet Pat.
I think Pat would hate Circus more than anyone else before, simply because Circus would probably be all about the health but do it in a way that isn't so painfully anal retentive, I bet he could make vegan friendly chocolate covered cherries that taste totally rad.

And Circus also enjoys Moby, but only in a healthy and moderate way? Man, I can see it now... Circus as basically just Pat's good twin.
Of course, that makes me wonder if Circus c*ck is actually Pat's brother-in-law that Ray allegedly boned. (http://www.achewood.com/index.php?date=02262002) It would shed an entirely new, weird light on the proceedings. No chance in Hell that it's true, but hey, baseless speculation ahoy!
-
Pat would be all confrontational and Circus would be like "sure Pat, you're entitled to your opinion. Do you want a hug?".
Two character types at polar opposite ends of the spectrum.
The a-hole spectrum.
Edit: Damn V-adore, that's a scary piece of speculatin'
-
Ha, ha! V, that would be one hell of a twisted storyline.
At any rate, I am going to email Chris to beg for Philippe saying "Yarr! There be hugs and kisses this way!" in the box-hat and holding aloft a fork on a sticker or t-shirt or SOMETHING. GOD, that is too effing cute to pass up. I want it immortalized on some sort of merchandise.

Yeah, but how many can you do?

Or maybe he just didn't want to say "c*ck" to a five year old.
After my family and I went to a funeral of a long-time friend about two weeks ago, we went out to lunch, and I heard my mom say "c*ck" for the first time. She said to me, "do you want to hear a joke" and I said "okay," and even though the joke wasn't dirty, it involved my mom saying "c*ck" over and over again. It was a all round strange day.
The joke was,
God made Adam and Eve, and he was handing out body parts, and then he showed them a c*ck, and Adam got really excited, and said he wanted the c*ck, then Adam was really happy and he was running around with his c*ck, and using his c*ck to pee on everything. And Eve was watching Adam having fun with his c*ck and peeing on everything, then God said "okay, well Eve since Adam is so happy with his c*ck, and I have only this one thing left, I'll give it to you." And God gave Eve a Brain.
I was in my Sunday best, at a restaurant, with my mom whispering this into my ear. All I really heard was "c*ck, c*ck, c*ck, c*ck...."
Creepy.

Oh! I think anybody clicking links named "c*ck tricks" deserve whatever they get! Still, my apologies for those not wanting to familiarize themselves with the astounding creative capacities of the male reproductive organs.
Good point with Circus looking like Nice Pete, I think Chris seems to be developing a category of cats that look much more human and wear more clothes than the original three.
It probably is pretty difficult to make a cat look big-brawned.
-
Am I the only one who is vaguely worried by Circus c*ck? Yes, he seems to be a great guy in all regards, but I just can't shake this feeling that in a few strips it is all going to go terribly, horribly, frighteningly wrong.
Oh well. I love this strip.
-
Am I the only one who is vaguely worried by Circus c*ck?
No, you are not. He is creepy. His creepy mouth inside his creepy beard around his mouth and how you can't think of Circus Peanuts anymore without a vaguely icky creepy feeling... I have a very bad feeling about him.

Dude, one's all you need.

Oh, no, I definitely equate beards with creepy for the most part, so I'm with you on this one.
-
Hmmm.
It's funny, but I don't find Circus c*ck creepy at all. If anything, I am looking forward to his inclusive, friendly manner making Pat spontaneously combust.
That, or we're about to find out about Pat's career in alternative vegan porn. That would be creepy.
-
Now that he has collected seven dollars, I hope that Philippe will spend that money wisely. I think he should buy a big prosthetic forehead, and wear it on his real head.

'Cos everybody wants prosthetic foreheads on their real head!
Is this in the same vein as Tommy the Tummy and the Walk-Around-Butt? I think that someone wants to burn the foreheads down.

He could get a job as a new alien of the week on a Star Trek show. Perhaps combine this with a gonzo shoot.

My point exactly.

A trimmed beard on a cat is an aberration for sure. Have any of you seen this (http://www.westcoastcat.com/scratchins/reactions.html) (educational, workplace-safe) page? Scroll down to the 'Interpretation' heading.
-
How would a cat even grow a beard anyway? The only way that would work is if he shaved his fur in a beard-like shape. Leaving the rest of his face unnaturally bald, of course.
Now, in Nice Pete's case, I'm willing to believe that he's wearing a toupee and glue-on biker 'stache. But then, I also think he's probably unnaturally bald all over too, since he likely enjoys straight razors way too much.

Much like Philippe, here:
