There was me, Phillipe, and my three droogs, that is Pete, Georgie, and Dim, Dim being really Dim, and we sat in the Korova Milkbar making up rassoodocks what to do with the evening, a flip dark chill winter bastard through dry.
Let's Breakdance!
-
This is extremely harsh for Philipe. But in service to the best visual thing in awhile. :THUD:, rollover. Right after flying Philipe its perfect. I'm sure he's ok - youthful resilience and all. Cornelius is going to be very unhappy with him, however.
Alternate thread titles -
":THUD:" and "A bolt of EZ-breathe jersey cotton"
-
i couldn't resist the clockwork orange allusion though... apologies.
-
This one made my belly wobble with mirth.
For some reason the second to last panel is accompanied (in my head) by a slow, drawn out "squeeeeeak".
Nice.
-
Oh man, I hope I wasn't the only kid who snuck a glug from the vanilla bottle when his folks weren't looking. Amazing how something that can smell so heavenly can taste so foul.
Best part of the strip: imagining Phillipe's face in the last 2 panels.
-
the very concept of Lie Bot makes me somewhat ill to my stomach.
-
That was awesome.
You just know that Philippe believes, bless his little heart, that he executed this Break-Dance Move correctly.

Some grocery stores have started locking it up due to the high theft rate. Especially from their own employees.
Hey, if Teodor removing his own head is a dance move then why not smacking into a wall?
-
Why is the thread title not "RAP MUSIC, MY DROOGS!"? That line is perfect.
This sort of thing makes me wonder why they still let Lie Bot hang around. You'd think they'd be getting sick of Philippe victimization, now that they're in a Hypertime universe where that sort of thing is frowned upon. Or maybe automatons just hate Philippe after the Click Automaton incident?
-
True, having a Lie Bot around could lead to occasional unpleasantness, but who hasn't found it entertaining to lie to a little kid and cause him or her to do something foolish for your shameful amusement?

me, but then i don't find lying pleasant.

It's just harmless fun. Like telling him the sun crashes into Arizona every night.

the baby's hair has grown a little under millimeter.
Is Vlad writing Chris' Baby Status Reports now?
-
Funniest comic in a while.
-
I'm just trying to imagine the exact direction Lie Bot gave Philippe, and how many times he had performed the move prior to showing Teodor here.
Maybe all these "Philippe is retarded" people will have their wishes come true.
-
i'm afraid i have to cast my vote *against* the "squeeaaaak" proposition. (H.R. 2034) on the grounds that it is a characteristic achewood feature to use minimal understated sound effects. and the *thud* sums it up quite nicely.

Oh, that crazy vanilla extract! There are "dry" villages here in Alaska where you can't even bring in vanilla extract or some types of mouthwash. Companies that ship groceries to bush villages won't send those types of products to the dry villages, which I think is pretty respectable of them. They search your luggage for liquor when you arrive. Alcohol has ruined far too many lives, which is why they have the somewhat Draconian anti-hooch laws. If you object or if you don't like it, you can go somewhere else.
One of my best friends back in Denver also recalled having to pour out vanilla extract because her alcoholic mum would raid it when they were trying to stop her from drinking.
At any rate, I am not an alcoholic, and I do enjoy beer and such. Vanilla extract tastes horrible, which I discovered quite young.
-
I used to live in a dry town.
They can't regulate whether or not you had any alcohol in your house, they could only regulate it's sale. And I've never seen flavor extracts and mouthwash regulated along with the beverage alcohol - that's nuts.
No way they could check to see if you snuck over the county line for listerine. I can't imagine a liberty-lovin' western state like Alaska regulating the contents of cupboards - it would be hard to do - but it's definitely not to hard to restrict the sale of beverage alcohol.

Téodor's moves are INSANE.

You just wish you could dance like that.

Okay, one more animated gif, which strangely seems to belong in the same thread as the last. This one is by request, and is better proportioned for avatars and the like.

A tiny can of Dr. Pepper to you, good sir.
