I am wondering how many readers of Achewood are gemini's-- gemini's are known for their off/witty humor: is this true? I asked onstad, but he didn't know!

I'm a Scorpio.
-
Virgo over here. I have been told, straightfacedly, that this is why I don't believe in astrology.
(My birthday was yesterday, on the cusp, so I might technically be a Vibra.)
-
I am a gemini, I enjoy candle-light dinners, long walks on the beach and cartilidge based humour.
-
First, and possible most important:
Happy Birthday, V!
Second, and of dubious importance:
I am a pisces. I don't feel that this has affected my sense of humor at all.
-
I am a Taurus/Gemini cusp.
-
I'm a Gemini too. May 30.

I'm a Scorpio. This means I am supposed to be a conniving, amoral sex addict. I don't believe in astrology, but I do believe in being a conniving, amoral sex addict.
-
We're Gemini, here. Happy Belated Birthday, V-Adore.
-
Gemini/Taurus cusp...
Apparently makes me thoughtful, creative, and a jerk...
-
Not that anyone knows me nor cares but I like broadcasting useless near theological month based belief systems on the net to a bunch of strangers.
Which could only mean I was a Pisces... if I believed that sort of thing.
-
Onstad replied to that question?
Not that I put any stock in this sort of thing, but I think I'm a Capricorn/Aquarius cusp, which I believe makes me an incredibly uptight creative type (Like, the kind of person who doesn't put any stock in this sort of thing and yet nevertheless knows enough to be able to answer the question...) Which is a pretty screwed up combination, let me tell you.
-
I'm a Carpricorn, but I don't know what a cusp is. I do know that I am a Sundays child which explains why I am "bonny and blithe, and good and gay."

I'm a capricorn married to a Gemini.
-
Capricorn married to Taurus. This is, apparently, a good thing.
-
Thanks.
Oh, man, let us not get into the issue of "sign vs. SO's sign." The same friend who told me that I didn't believe in astrology because I was a Virgo reacted to my announcement of my SO-havingness with "his birthday is in August, right? So he's a Leo? A Leo and a Virgo -- that's so weird."
(must control retroactive fist of death...)
-
Thanks.

Two scorpios together in a room mean .... birthdays close to each other.
-
Astrology is complete bullshit, a pre-Copernican belief system that has no bearing on anything at all.
So I don't see why comparing SO signs is such a major faux pas, as opposed to just giving your own. It's a real lateral move in terms of actual bullshit content.
Y'know?
-

Oh, us too.
But let's do Chinese zodiac instead, it's more fun because it's all animals. I'm a Rat.

Woo Hoo! Should we have a joint party?
-
I'm gonna get some of that stuff that purifies your pee and i'll join you.

-
Aquarius, the water carrier. The meaning of this is that my sign is really lame.
-
Taurus, and born year of the Dragon.
-
onstad did reply to the question! and he is also a gemini. although, i guess it is a rather moot point.
-
Taurus, and born year of the Dragon.
Shit. Does this mean we're mortal enemies now? I don't want to drive to Philly to WHOOP YOUR ASS and you punked out on the DC Achecon.

Well, yes, I get you. At the time it just pissed me off quite a bit because I basically said "hey, here is this person who means a great deal to me, and I would like to share knowledge of this person of great value with you, who I consider a trusted friend" and the response was "oh, you two were born in arbitrary months? This makes your relationship strange!"
So it wasn't the sheer bullshit level, it was the inappropriate bullshit context. If that makes any sense at all.
-
This is exactly why you should not listen to people who are stupider than you.
-
I realize this now. During high school, I hadn't grokked this as completely.
For the record: Boar, over here. (Or Pig, but oh, the jokes.)
-
Snake.
& Kung Po Chicken. Or Moo Shu.
-
Dang, I wish I was born in 1982, 1970, 1958, 1946, 1934, 1922 or any previous 12-year interval, because then I'd be able to say "I'm a Dog! <spread peacock tail>"
As it is, I'm a boring ol' hoss born in '78.
-
Near-cusp-Libra, Dragon.
Oddly, both seem to hold true. I don't believe in any of it, mind you, but all the same.
Happy b'lated b'dayj, V.
-
sagittarius.
this means i have a monster cock that i know how to use.
the real question is where does one place the italics in the previous sentence? i struggled over this for MINUTES.
-
Dog over here.

Just put 'em any old place you like and the good Lord will provide.
-
Pisces. But both my parents are/were geminis. Whatever that means.
Oh, right. Nothing. Duh.
-
I'm a Dog as well.
-
I'm a Dog as well.
Well, at least you can admit it.
-
Capricorn married to Taurus. This is, apparently, a good thing.
Oh, us too.
Hey, us three. Go figure.
-
Libra, born in a Dragon year. Someone who pays attention to that kind of thing can suggest what that may mean about my personal character because I know not.
-
I'm a Taurus and an Ox which I guess means I'm consistent.
Feels kind of boring through.
-
I far prefer my Chinese zodiac sign (Dragon, attuned to Fire) to my plain-ol'-zodiac zodiac sign (Cancer).
Both are deadly, but only one can be blamed on cigarrettes and Sweet 'n' Low.
I'm not sure exactly what these are supposed to mean about my personality, because I tend to put more stock in personality tests that are based on things I actually do. On my own.

I dunno, man, I'm a Sagittarius, and I have no cock at all. What gives?
-
I didn't read this whole thread so I apologize if anyone already said this:
Astrology is stupid.
Carry on. :dunce:

Taurox sounds like an interesting brand name for an energy drink made from beef broth that is lauded with taurine.
TAUROX GIVES YOU HORNS
-
Don't be ridiclous... no one would buy an energy drink associated with bulls... NO ONE!
-
I am a Libra, and my birthday is tomorrow.
Also: for Chinese Zodiac I am a Earth Mare ( I can't type h.o.r.s.e.... this is new) and my SO is a Metal Cock. Yes, he is a Metal Cock, and he says it proudly.
Also: it is the year of the Rooster (Cock), and there are signs all over Chinatown reminding us of this. It's Chinatown.
Also: hello, I am back.

you have a monster pu$$y?
is there a female equivalent to "monster cock"? is this something ladies joke about like dudes joke about, only with secret girl code?
-
Capricorn married to Taurus. This is, apparently, a good thing.
Me too.
-
Forget it, Smells, it's Chinatown.
Also, happy birthday-soon, and happy back-on-the-board!
-
Go Smells! It's your birthday!
Are you allowed to actually do that on somebody's birthday? I'm unclear on the etiquette here

She's got a snapper.

Birthday Update: The other girl at work who took the promotion I decided not to take is also celebrating her birthday today. I announced my birthday after she did her's so everyone seemed slightly less enthusiastic.
-
Birthday update: I arrived in my office to find a flower on my desk and a new keyboard to replace the one with the broken space bar.
-
Hey Smells, welcome back, and Happy Birthday!
-
Birthday update: The keyboard turned out to have been ordered for someone else and I had to give it back. My boss told me I have a "birthday glow."
-
Birthday update: During the rehearsal the actors were having lots of fun. They didn't know that, secretly, it's my birthday.
-
Birthday update: He told me that he will take me out for Indian Food, but first he needs to shave off his man stink.
-
Birthday update: After three weeks with out the internet? 38 non-junkmail emails about the technical aspects of the play I'm directing.
-
happy birthday.
-
Happy birthday, smells! Wish me one now, 'cause it's my turn.
No, really. 28 Sep. Mine. All mine.
-
Oh, way to try to steal Smells's thunder, Choop.
Happy birthday AGAIN to YOU, Smells.
An a very UNhappy birthday to you, Choop, birthday-wishes usurper.
P.S. Also, a very merry unbirthday to everyone else.
-
Frabjuous bornday, Choop. May the candles on your cake burn like cities in your wake.
-
Happy Belated Birthday, Choop!
Also, Belated Birthday update: At the Indian Restaurant the Henna artist who set up shop at a back table would not shut up as she spoke with the owner at a level that everyone else at the restaurant had to talk over. She spoke loudly of how she hated children until she was about 25. She said this over and over and over with very little variation in conversation for around 25 minutes. I was so distracted by her loud talking that I actually enjoyed my Vegetable Korma less than I should have. Her voice made food less delicious. Then I suddenly got a migraine so debilitating that we had to leave immediately, and I sat on the couch at home with my SO occasionally bringing me ice packs to put on my head. I sat there for the rest of the night, while the phone rang and different members of my family left birthday wishes for me on our answering machine as I sat right next to the machine feeling grouchy and not picking up.
Also yesterday, on Ch oop's b-day, I made the woman actor in my play cry, and I hurt my foot in a way that made it unbearable to walk.
Apparently 27 is over the hill for me.
-
Belated Birthday update: Two days after the fact I realize that I failed to drink Champagne on my Champagne birthday.
