Title: Blogtoberfest! (Oct 2005)
Post by: V-Adore on October 02, 2005, 06:09:41 pm
Started to get a new thread underway.

I sort of like the singular "herpe," if only because of its total uselessness.

I liked the designation of "Fool's Herpes" to the ingrown pube. That's awesome.

Also, who among us has not felt like Beef in the dildo store? Especially the description of the clerk. This is truth. I'd love to see Pat's take on service in the dildo store.

I love how it makes me think of multiple possible ways to pronounce it, or misspell it depending on how it's probably meant to be pronounced

for instance herp or herpay, or herpee or herpy respectively.

Never mind me.

aparrish's brief review of sex toy stores he's been to in his life.

Good Vibrations in Berkeley, CA: A+!  Friendly staff did not make me feel like a dick.

Toys in Babeland in New York, NY: F!  Exactly like Beef's experience except I was there with my girlfriend.  Staff seemed to wish that we hadn't even come into the store, actively avoided answering questions, eyed us suspiciously as if we had no right to partake in their lurid, pierced Lesbian world.  F!

Man sometimes I'm really glad that I don't know anybody like Ray. And I'm pretty much always glad that I don't know anybody like Lyle. So do people seriously get like this when they smoke?

Yes.

I know one Ray, and about ten Lyles.  The machete-themed party seriously sounded like something the "Ray" I know would instigate.

Ok, it's pretty commonsensical, really.  You know those people you know who are idiots/assholes when they drink?  They're probably idiots and assholes when they smoke weed.

Dammit, I'm trying very hard not to post in a crude way a question about how balls figure into Pat's breats=dancing equation and it's very hard to do.

OK, no I don't.  Is this like stuffing your crotch with a sock, or what?

Don't worry CJ it's just like the whole barbed c*ck thing, sometimes you have to be... direct.  Again harkening back to when I taught sex ed to teens, sometimes using the medical jargon helps to work these things out.

I would think that the testicles, being liquid filled, would really be a good tool to work with, but I doubt that Pat would even be able to make the leap to focusing on his testies while dancing.  I mean, he's already doing a fairly non-sexual form of dancing.  If you look at the sort of dancing that focuses on the crotch area, the Lambada is central, and it's pretty obvious that Pat could not handle the Lambada.  Even when he's thinking about a women's body, he's thinking about it with anger.  But then, I could argue that a higher centre of gravity - the breasts- are more benificial to dancing than a groin level centre of gravity.

But I've just spent a paragraph talking about testicles and breasts and gravity, so I sort of want to stop.  Still, I remember about five years ago there was a whole dick-for-a-day thing that was really popular, where famous women wrote about what they would do if they had a dick for a day.  I remember thinking in my own case, how it would probably drastically effect how I move.  And also that I would really take the time to enjoy peeing out doors.

Did I already talk about the feminine urine despenser here?  I don't think so, but sorry if I'm repeating myself.... Anyway, when I was a teenager, my mom regularly got this catalogue of random shit, and it had all sorts of stupid stuff in it.  Crazy inventions like tools for complexly braiding your hair and those towels that are compressed into the size of a credit card - "great for travel," and one time, one of the items in it was a feminine urine despenser - a crotch funnel, with a container and release drain - "great for travel."  I cut it out and took it to school - showed it to everyone I could.  I was deeply facinated by the whole thing, especially since the Mike Watt song "Piss Bottle Man" had come out around the same time.

Anyway, back on topic - What Pat is forgetting is that breasts impede the ability to dance for one very important reason:  It's way harder to see your feet, and feet are the most important part of dancing.

Also, I have my own story about trying to buy a dildo.  But it's almost midnight, and I don't want to get into a long story about why I had to call the Mastercard people right now.

I know the whole Phillipe suffering thing has been done and everyone is probably over it but I'm just sitting here waiting for the horrible horrible thing that is going to happen to that bird.
Or possibly to Phillipe. I'm half-waiting for the post where Teodore talks about having to take Phillipe to the emergency room because he was mauled by the hawk he kept trying to play with.

And Molly has odd takes on relationships, I'm not sure whether she intends the 'stick his hand in some macaroni' advice to be serious or not, sometimes she seems messed up enough that it would be.

I cannot decide whether advice given by a cartoon cat was sincere.

A girl I worked with at the campus radio station in college used this invention as the basis for her air name - the product in question was called the "Lady John" or something like that and she dubbed herself "Lady J."

I know this to be the provenance of her airname because people always used to ask "You mean like the chick from GI Joe?!?" when they met her.

Title: Blogtoberfest! (Oct 2005)
Post by: Null on October 16, 2005, 04:55:38 pm
Apparently my Blogger account has been hacked again.  I would NEVER write any such SENSELESS drivel as that latest entry on my Blog  (http://journeyintoreason.blogspot.com/2005/10/computer-software.html).  I would suspect one of you, but since you all apparently have NOTHING better to do with your time than post on this RIDICULOUS message board, and since Onstad's moronity appears to you as brilliance, I doubt you'd have the intellectual fire-power to hack into ANYTHING except a box of cookies.  Heaven help you if there's shrink-wrap inside.

No, I'm starting to think it might be Onstad.  Well, he'll HEAR about this.  I may take that damned pencil he's always chewing on and use to POKE OUT one of his eyes.  In fact, I'll offer a plate of my famous cilantro-fried corn-paste nuggets to anyone who can find evidence of this.

I would never have written anything praiseworthy of computer software.  That is so stupid.  I do all my finances by hand, in ink, thank you very much.

Computer software is simply an attempt to defraud the members of the public out of their hard-earned money.  I tried this so called FormatMaker 7 software once.  A more pitiable attempt at usability I have never before seen.  And I could swear that I could see my finances adjust themselves when I would enter in numbers.  Well, if I cannot trust a computer program to know what I want, I am certainly not going to trust its pitiable attempts at mathematics.  When I connected with my bank through my 2400 baud modem, it appeared as if my bank balance had gone down.  I know I stopped payment after I came from the gas station (the attendant was insufficiently courteous).  This was therefore impossible.  The software was trying to steal my money!

The poster obviously felt that, since Women are stupid, he obviously hoped to tap into this universal feeling in order to make his point, but even this was part of the attempt at fraud.  It doesn't matter how stupid you are, computer programs are designed to make you feel stupid.  This is so when they crash, and you lose your poem or you cannot access your recipe file, you will feel that YOU messed it up.  If this weren't so evil, it would be ingenious.  As for FormatMaker 7, this software is simply not usable.  Even a genius cannot use it, as I can tell you.

Rest assured that I am currently securing legal counsel so I can make my move against the makers of FormatMaker 7.  It is for the good of the public at large.

I am also suing Toshiba, as merely flinging their laptop against the wall should not have caused this kind of damage.  Once again, the public is being hoodwinked to think that THEY are the ones who are at fault, when some time and care in design and manufacturing would take care of all these details.  Well, I for one am not going to stand for it.

--Pat Reynolds

PS:  To the poster who said that I have my head "so far up" my "intestinal tract that" I appear "to be coughing up free Baby Ruth bars," all I have to say is this.  I have your address. You're going to get a letter from me.  Don't leave the house.

We're talking about Pat here though, who's only vegan so he can annoy others and not because of a reasonable reason.

Plus, as has been mentioned Pat has issues with women obviously, and one running about au natural confounds and confuses him since he's unable to think outside of his own stereotypes.  Armpit hair in Pat's mind = male and it makes him so angry on this particular female because it reminds him of what he really wants: AaaaaAAaarthur.  (Or more likely Nice Pete with Star Sunglasses)

Also, I killed an entire nest full of baby robins when I was little.  I never told anyone.   My whole family had been enchanted by the nest full of little robins, then everyone just wondered where the nest went.  I still feel guilty about that upside down nest, their fleshy heads and blind looking eyes.  Sigh.

Jesus. I just read a Philip K. Dick story about a man who, as a boy, helped his cat kill a bird. It's amazingly fucked, and is called "I Hope I Shall Arrive Soon." It's available in  this volume (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0375706615/qid=1129854159/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/103-2287621-3135028?v=glance&s=books&n=507846), which I picked up on a whim. It is filled with amazingly kickass pieces. I suggest you purchase it POST HASTE.

Am I the only one who could read Teodor and Ray phone transcriptions ALL DAY LONG?

Seriously... "YOU DO NOT WIN A THING" makes me laugh approximately 80 times a day since I read it.

What? Someone AbnrmlJstr me the link to that.

Roast Beef says he doesn't watch Survivor.

http://rbeef.blogspot.com/2005/10/i-do-not-watch-survivor-tv-show.html

At first, I thought that conflicted with this:

http://achewood.com/index.php?date=01112002

But then I realised that "after Survivor" might have been accepted lingo in 2002 for 10 o'clock or something.  Like how Skinny Elvis and Fat Elvis defined various eras without having to actually use numbers.

I've never watched Survivor so I wouldn't know all the details.

It's also possible that someone in the Achewood house watches Survivor, so Ray and Beef coming over for poker after then makes sure the living room will be clear.

He clearly states in the first sentance of his post that he hasn't watched survivor "this season."  That comic was from three seasons ago and the blog post was from today.

Something just horrible is going to happen at nice pete's party. Is it wrong that I feel sympathetic towards the imaginary homocidal maniac because I don't want to see him disappointed.

Crap, I do B-leave I just left a Pizza Pocket cookin' in tha microwave for at least 15 minutes.

I did this once with a Steak-Umm. Except it was only 11 and a half minutes. See, I was reading the instructions on the box, and the cardboard was torn right through where the microwave time was listed. So I mistook 1 and half for 11 and a half. Bad move. When I opened the microwave, hideous, fowl smelling black smoke poured out and the bowl in which I had placed the Steak-Umm had cracked. Also, the Saran Wrap covering the bowl had melted onto the Steak-Umm, which was, by now, a sorry looking little black turd.

I can only imagine what LN found when he got back to the microwave.
