Title: Goody Two-Shoes?? DAMMIT!
Post by: linnea on July 16, 2006, 06:14:12 am
Dammit! When did I turn into a goody two shoes without my knowing it??

I was out with a bunch of my friends when of my friends told me that I'm a Goody Two-Shoes! What the hell? I still consider myself a badass! I cuss and raise hell with the ladies when I go out!

...then again, if I were a true badass I'd never be getting as much sleep as I do now, because I would be busier with less-wholesome activities than doing volunteer work, teaching knitting classes to children, and running Fire/EMS. If I were a badass, I would be asked out all the time by the fellas. As it is, I haven't bought rubbers in ages.  The saddest part is that I was considering adding some to my drugstore.com order (since I have a latex sensitivity and they don't seem to sell the avanti ones here), but then realized that they would gather dust under my bed. :(

Sigh. I am a goody two shoes. If my angry, pierced, punk rock vegan 15-year old self could see me now, she'd probably kick my ass. I am gonna go work on my knitting and talk to my cats. *cringe* Someome stop me before I die sad and alone!

Volunteering for thigns is what you get living in the arctic circle. It's that or you turn into Fleischman, but then it was your choice.
I guess when I think about it, I've kind of done the same, though I consider it a good thing. When I look back at the stupid 15 year old me I want to beat him to death repeatedly for being such a retard!
I think by and large though, the more beautiful the place you live, the more goody two-shoes you are likely to be. Until you snap and kill during the summer equinox or something.

I hear ya, sister. If we ever meet up someplace, maybe we can go smoke cigarettes behind the football field and then get drunk and knock over mailboxes or something. I hear that's what the cool kids do.

Living in a town with only 40 other people tends to reduce the dating options.  Isn't it vacation season up there, though?  Maybe snag a visiting sailor?  That wouldn't be goody-two-shoes behaviour.

Also, did you really enjoy your life when you were a badass 15-year-old?

There is a difference between being a goody two-shoes and living a respectable and decent life, and that difference is smarm. Keep it up, Somebody nice; you're doing fine.

Linnea, I am a fella and speaking as such I would totally ask you out if A) I knew you IRL and B) you weren't totally out of my league.

DO IT ANYWAY
WUSS

I totally asked a girl on the internet out. And, I mean, it wasnt awkward at all. *awkwardly avoids looking at Hobot.*

to clarify, I did not really do that. I am not that bad. Also: the key that makes the apostrophe is suddenly not working. bizarre.

Dude asking out is nothing, I got dumped on the internet. Twice!

And yeah I am a goody two shoes now too, but less so than I was when I was a teenager.
Weird that among the people I feel I can associate with the guys tended to be shy and introverted in their teenage years and the girls tended to be of the punky variety. Two great tastes that taste great together.

I started dating my first boyfriend online. In a text-based MUD set in Middle Earth.

I'm better now. Really.

If I were Paul, I would suggest that you could be more of a badass by posting more pictures of yourself on this board, preferably taking a shower or something.

But I'm not, so I won't.

I don't know if middle-aged male predators count as "first boyfriend" though, Smick.
