I totally empathize with Todd.
-
"Pussy nougat" is a great term.
I don't know if this turns around the mediocre state of this plotline but... headsasplodin' always helps.
However, I think you may've messed up the link.
-
Todd's head exploded.
Hmm.
-
Hmm indeed. I think that I rather like Onstad's take on an alive stuffed animal and cracked-out squirrel taking on the SNL comedy genre.
-
No. Just ... no.
-
hm.
I am a big fan of a phrase being so perfect that your head explodes.
-
If this is the end of this plotline, well... frickin' awesome way to end it.

I believe I like this strip Okay if there will be more, but I will upgrade if it's the end of the plotline. Yes.
Though I appreciated the alt-text because I couldn't quite work out what was up with the art alone. At first I thought a burst of "pussy-nougat" had literally made an appearance, and I have no humor paradigm for dealing with that.
-
Further observations:
I've just realized I got the phrase "burst of pussy-nougat" (complete with hyphen, which isn't in the strip) from the general format of a line of shampoos I used in my youth. "Burst of Cherry-Almond" was one.
I don't listen to much classical, but I have been listening to a Bach motet during this reading and posting process and it is pretty much perfectly inappropriate.
Lately it seems that all Achewood does is remind me of childhood things.

Please this is the end?
-
Onstad: "Man this seemed like a good idea at first, i mean i hadnt used todd in awhile and cocaine is always a lark.... I need some sort of immediate terminus to this train wreck. Pop."
-
Maybe his head exploding is just the intro for Five Questions.
-
So wait, if Téodor's doing impressions on screen, then who's manning the camera? (ooooOOOOoooo...)
EDIT: Oh wait, never mind, the camera's on a tripod, a remote-controlled rotating one apparently.
-
This too shall pass.

Thanks, all, for making me feel like a jerk by leaving it to me to ask the obvious question. And that is:
What the hell is Quimarello?
Don't even pretend like you knew either. 'Quimarello' is currently #95 on Google trends (http://www.google.com/trends/hottrends), Oct 17, 2007, above The Colbert Report. You are all terrible, lame faux-intellectual hipsters...
And I am so ashamed.
-
It didn't even occur to me to wonder. I just want it to be over.
-
Onstad: "Man this seemed like a good idea at first, i mean i hadnt used todd in awhile and cocaine is always a lark.... I need some sort of immediate terminus to this train wreck. Pop."
I have this sneaking suspicion that Onstad conceived of this arc with the sole intention of offing Todd. Then again, I've thought the same thing about as many of Todd's appearances as not in the past.
In any case, I like how this started as a Todd arc, overstayed its welcome, and seemingly moved on with the "forget about Todd" strip... then basically just did a one-off and veered straight back to Todd again, even after half the original premise (Ray exploiting his addiction) had just been completely deflated. It was pretty amusing, in a "meta" kind of way - an anti-GOF, if you will.
I am a big fan of a phrase being so perfect that your head explodes.
It's even better when you consider that the alt-text implies something a bit different. His life just ended. The idea didn't overwhelm Todd's brain and make it explode; it was just so perfect, there was no longer any reason for him to stay alive. Then, instead of just keeling over, his body went into full auto-destruct mode. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but the idea of "head exploding messily" as the default way for somebody to die is still pretty damn funny.

It's not on Wikipedia so it doesn't exist. Whatever it isn't.

What the hell is Quimarello?
Ask the young peppy people at m.asset.bar or whatever it's called. It seems "quim" is slang for "v a g i n a", and then there's something involving a caramel. It's basically an ill-thought-out portmanteau, it wouldn't even cause my toe to 'splode if you ask me.
-
I just assumed is was a pu$$y-flavored Caramello. Or maybe a Caramello with pussy-nougat instead of caramel?
Should I be worried that I would probably eat and enjoy that if it was flavored like my SO?
-
I sincerely hope this doesn't move on to a "Todd goes to hell" storyline. Head explosion is a great way to end a thing, and I really don't want any more the squirrel.
-
Not to mention that Todd already seems to be a pretty frequent (http://achewood.com/index.php?date=12222003) visitor (http://achewood.com/index.php?date=02082007) to the afterlife, whether we're privy to his adventures there or not. Likely wouldn't be too interesting for him, either.
The lesson here is that Todd is too one-dimensional a character to build any kind of prolonged story around, and too much of a crap dude to be worth developing further. Great for one-offs every now and again, but that's really where he needs to stay.
-
As far as I am concerned Todd has been in the best Achewoods ever. Back when he was driving down stairs and doing coke to dokken and talking to blister about Stoned God and the thong episode.
C'mon/ end GOB Bluth

That is...
ewww.
Also: there is a cheese which smells like that. And I've been told that it tastes like that. a certain friend of mine gets a big kick out of giving some to guys, and saying "remind you of anything?" with a big smirk on his face.
why would people eat that cheese. why. why.

Is it really that weird and/or gross? I really don't know. I just have a great fondness for the taste of cootchie; I love how each one is different and unique. I actually develop a bit of an attachment to a particular bouquet if I am in a relationship with a girl for a significant period of time.
Yeah, ok, that does sound a bit weird.
-
I'm gonna have to come to the defense of pu$$y here.
As long as a lady has good hygene habits, there are few things tastier.
-
ok, well, I have to disagree. Which is a pretty sad state of affairs for me, I feel.

I think we just figured out what inev's problem is.
-
it occurs to me that...
my experience is limited enough that....
I mean, if you had only eaten a certain dish from one restaurant, your opinion of the dish as a whole might be skewed.
but damn, I find it hard to imagine that that might be the case in this case.
-
I'm not gonna question your sexuality, here, inev... though that is the funniest way to go.
I am gonna say, however, that you're a young dude and the coupla ladies you've gone down on were probably young and inexperienced and... probably not wise and confident enough to know how to keep their coochies properly clean for the purposes of goin' down.
Dude, you tried MacDonalds coffee and justly hated it. But that ain't coffee, son.
Don't knock it 'till you've tried some Starbucks.
-
um, that is what I just said.
I mean, if you had only eaten a certain dish from one restaurant, your opinion of the dish as a whole might be skewed.

It is my understanding that teenage pu$$y tastes different from twenty-five-to-thirtysomething pu$$y, which is different from middle-age pu$$y, even on the same woman. In fact, a lady can taste vastly different from one week to the next due to the smaller changes in body chemistry the occur over the course of a menstrual cycle.
A certain gent I know much prefers the flavour of..."mature" pu$$y to teenage pu$$y, which may explain the difference here. If inev's experience has been with younger women, he might very well just not like the taste of girls in his particular age range.
Nothing wrong with that, as long as you go down regardless. I mean, sometimes cum tastes bitter, that doesn't absolve ladies of their blowjob responsibilities. As long as it's not a matter of hygiene (and I firmly believe that a considerate lady or gent will bathe or shower for the occasion), A Gentleman Goes Down, full stop, end of story.
-
Now I'm thinking about blind taste-testing. I wonder if I could get a grant.

That is fascinating, and something to look forward to. I was an extremely awkward teenager, so I did not get much play at that point in my life, though I did taste one "Teenage Pussy" (sung to the tune of "Teenage Wasteland"). I regret that I was so nervous, and it being a one-time thing, that I do not recall what the flavors were like. Much like the first time I had tried scotch I did not know how to appreciate the flavor. I have since only tasted lady-juices aged between 25 and 34 years and have experienced such a wide variety in flavors that I cannot imagine middle-age making more of a difference than one ladies particular chemistry does.
And Inevitable? Don't get discouraged. To continue with the scotch analogy, a fine vag is an acquired taste. Just keep at it and you will learn to appreciate its subtleties. You are a young and, from what I've gathered through my lurking, an attractive young gentleman. You have no problems, only solutions for the many delicious ladies walking around that beautiful campus.

I'm a man and I'm a bit creeped out. Just puttin' it out there, sexual relations and smarm don't always, er, taste great together.
