Maybe Ray's momma is right, anyway. A mayor can really get things done. A president, these days... it's just a set-up for disappointment.

Ray has tasted power, and thwarted by his mother from achieving global power, will have to settle for municipal power.

And as Wombat pointed out, I am personally affected by the decisions of our mayor much more often than I am by the decisions of our president.

This is why I remain registered to vote in my small home town rather than new york city, which is more of a Duchy than a municipality, and you know what's a great word?  Duchy.
