We've previously discussed that I work for a mobile phone company.  We've also discussed that the Todd-Folk in Portland are kind of scary.  They'll cut you and then NOT take your wallet.  They'll cut you for the love of cutting.

I just received this email.

NOTIFICATION OF SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE
TO: TELECOMMUNICATIONS CONTACT PERSON
IMPACT: Your service may experience 2 – 50 millisecond switch hits, during the maintenance window.

LOCATION:  Hillsboro, Oregon

DESCRIPTION: Integra Telecom / ELI Technicians will replace 1250 feet of cable – span # 804 in Hillsboro - -it has been damaged twice by squirrels.  It is urgent that the new cable be installed as it will have a protection conduit around the cable to help prevent further squirrel damage.

I dont get it. Is the proposed joke that the cables are damaging the squirrels?
