More of a move-the-plot-along comic, but the alt-text did get a laugh out of me. I'm wondering if Beef somehow hastened himself earlier and we weren't informed? Though I'm not sure how or why someone would ingest vinegar and chopped paper.

The book fluttering noise is the best part of this strip. That is a quality sound effect.

The Lash will send you off to an afterlife on a par with the exorcized in Beetlejuice or, possibly, where Mr. Sparkle banishes dirt.

Hang on. Isn't Roast Beef already an Unfortunate Being? To me that pretty much describes what's been happening to him already -- death, reincarnation as... himself!
