You. Are. Rad.

paul might be the raddest dude alive.
paul follows my wife's blog.
paul could drink chuck norris under the table, if they're drinking milk.
paul invented a time machine, met ray kroc in 1939, brought him into 2007, showed him this messageboard, and took him back home. all ray kroc could remember was part of paul's username, and the next year he founded mcdonald's.

My username is easy if you just remember that it stands for (P)aul (MC)rae (D)elta (9)er
That picture by the way has been getting a lot of attention lately. I didn't know about the rad blog because they didn't link back to the original (http://www.flickr.com/photos/pmcd9/2221698385/), but it was picked up by a similar blog (http://juliasegal.tumblr.com/post/200269272/i-like-this-dudes-flickr-page-click-to-see-more) and from there it was picked up by an Australian Lifestyle magazine (http://www.threethousand.com.au/issues/226). You'll have to scroll down to their Cool and Fool section. It's under the Fool section under a link titled "car boot improvements." Apparently they think I'm foolish. From there it got forwarded around the email circuit. I wish I could see what that email said.
Anyway, whoo hoo. Personally I like this shot (http://www.flickr.com/photos/pmcd9/2343775536/) better.

Hell no man, the one they used (http://www.flickr.com/photos/pmcd9/2221698385/) is way better. It's a work of photographic art that belongs in a damn contemporary art museum. It really tells a compelling story. Especially due to the upward looking angle, it essentially deifies you. The lens artifacts add to the awesomeness. The other one is just like, just a couple having a good time in their back yard. One of the reasons people soop up their cars is to escape the lassitude of their mundane daily lives, so for people to be able to most effectively vicariously enjoy your souped up car, it needs to be presented either outside of any context such as with simply a black backdrop, or in a context that is relatively neutral and open to interpretation, e.g. in the photo they used, as presented, there isn't anything in it that jumps out at the viewer and screams "normalcy." For the other photo to maximize it's vicarious enjoyability, in needs to have some cops charging at you with weapons drawn, and/or the gas tank exploding. This is your homework assignment.

Dang paul, hope you never get into a fender bender... some gal breaks too late and there goes the block.

So my daughter's elementary school sent home a flyer for students to design the cover of the school's yearbook. The theme is "Deer Park is Fired Up for Reading!"
My vision, which I have been unable to get my daughter to put to paper, is to re-enact Paul's rad Dragonfire photo in colored pencil, but give Paul a deer head (since the school is Deer Park, the mascot is an anthropomorphic deer), and have him holding aloft two books.
That would be the most bad-ass elementary school yearbook cover ever.
-
Hell yes. Forget the yearbook. I may have to do that myself.
-
Paul is fired up for literate deer.

Damn deer always ruin everything.
