I would buy you a beer if you wrote a point/counterpoint on the desirability of seeing a *****'s posterior.  Bonus beer if you use "Awp!" to transition between arguments.

Five words:

The Roller Skate portends Death.

How about the celebration of deep, abiding male bonds?

The Beef/Ray friendship IS a solid subject, hell yeah.

One could argue that it is what took the strip from "neat little absurdist piffle" to "Strong Sauce".

Or... you could write about whether a stuffed animal tiger could play the trumpet with its cock if it were alive.

These are both good ideas.

There are so many possibilities, if it is only four pages, I would make sure to choose something that was limited enough that it will take a reasonable amount of time and effort. Like if you focused on something in the Great Outdoor Fight, you would only have to think about the set of strips in that book. You wouldn't have to re-read the entire archives looking for the strips that were related to your topic.

You could examine Onstad's depiction of hell.

You could do a character study -- analyze Nice Pete or Lyle.

You could do something on how Onstad depicts Beef's depression.  This strip (http://achewood.com/index.php?date=02022007) is one of the most accurate and touching summaries of depression that I've ever seen in any medium.

That's a good topic. That's also a fantastic strip. Onstad really does nail that part of Beef's character. He gets the balance between the humor and the pain.
