Title: The Cobra has run out of gas at last
Post by: Nabubrush on May 12, 2012, 02:07:56 pm
Carroll Shelby is dead at 89 (http://content.usatoday.com/communities/driveon/post/2012/05/auto-legend-carroll-shelby-father-of-cobra-dies/1#.T65tkuuudjQ).

Is the original Shelby Cobra the most replicated car in history (http://www.google.com/search?tbm=isch&hl=en&source=hp&biw=1049&bih=737&q=Shelby+cobra&gbv=2&oq=Shelby+cobra&aq=f&aqi=g10&aql=&gs_l=img.3..0l10.326.2438.0.2654.12.11.0.1.1.0.206.1345.5j4j2.11.0...0.0.cCNZwdyjRLE)? I once saw a knockoff Cobra (I hope) that had hit a light pole and looked like it had been almost completely bisected from the front to the rear.

That sucks. Dude knew a thing or two about speed. I did some work once or twice at a Shelby wheel manufacturing plant in North Texas.
