Title: We killed our Kia
Post by: jaydub on January 06, 2015, 01:29:06 am
I'm putting this in history, because that's where our Alien Green car is.  The engine seized, according to the dealership.  I think this requires me to hand in my Dude card.

My 3.5 year old pellet stove died last night.  Now I have to decide whether to do a ~$400 repair or drop ~$1000 for a new one.  Meanwhile it's the coldest week of the year!  Single digits anyone?

Probably aren't any special sales going on for those at the moment.

Must be a good day for stuff getting fucked up. Our washing machine drains into a utility sink in the basement. Said sink got clogged last night during a load, and thus when I went downstairs later I found water all over the floor. And as of this morning, the dehumidifier has very little water in it despite having run all night.

It was...
Is the Kia a good car?
We are trying to think up some way to persuade the company that we actually have been taking care of it, since the wife got all the oil changes & whatnot done at Jiffy Lube, or the like.  She never considered logging that or anything.

You may be able to go to said Jiffy Lube and they can give you records. Pretty sure they keep a history on your car based on the license plate number.

Turns out a number of them were done by a mobile service which recently went out of business.  I'm wondering if instead of changing the oil he just gave the car a sunshine treatment and put a new sticker on the window.
