My personal opinion is that Melania Trump is not attractive. The consensus is that she is beautiful, but I just can't see it.

And the answer to why people are obsessed with the looks of the First Lady is simple, it's because she's a woman and to many people that is still all that really matters.

I think that, at least in this case, and as far as the media is concerned, they are also trying desperately to find anything positive about the Trump presidency. And as for Melania Trump, she's an inconsequential person. Her only notable achievement is her (so called) beauty. She was a fashion model, so what. Her beauty is her only currency, and that's why she's married to Donald Trump in the first place. She's his arm candy. Maybe there's more to her than that, but so far, her only foray out of Donald's shadow was to deliver a speech she didn't write that plagiarized heavily from Michelle Obama. A woman, by the way, who is not only an extremely substantial person, but also very beautiful. More beautiful than Melania in my opinion, not that that matters at all, which is the point.
