(from doomglobe's Instant Messaging Client)
qaro (10:40:21 AM): i had the weirdest dream, it had this crazy old guy, kinda like a combination of the keeper and R. Crumb, sitting at a highway reststop restaraunt table and reading what I thought was a highschool textbook -- it had the paper bag cover on it. it also had crayon marks all over it, on the pages inside too. but after i got a better view it turned out to be some kind of achewood anthology.
Auto response from doomglobe (10:40:21 AM): Elvis has left the building.
The keeper is this old crazy guy from my town, who can nearly always be seen in the basement of this hotel, sitting on a couch or pacing. He has not been verified as homeless yet, but it seems that way, except once I encountered him in the hall of the lederle graduate research center at Umass, explaining a complicated and extreme theory about phisics to some hapless kid. Jon (the person who had the dream) claims that he walked into a sub/pizza place where he was eating once, grabbed some paper plates that were hidden on top of the coke machine, and began ranting to everyone, explaining some strange theory that was written on the back of the paper plates.
Anyway, I consider dream reports on instant messaging clients to be a form of media.
