I'm right there with you. But my interpretation of that comment wasn't universally shared. See above.
Making money from art is not vulgar. Art is a commodity. It makes people feel something. It raises the greater sum of human happiness. It increases the gaiety of the nation. It has a value. -John Allison
I'm almost not disappointed that Ornstrand is going to put more energy into the blogs, which could basically be dictated into a speech converter while he does one of his million other things, rather than having to actually "draw" the cartoon. There have been some great achievements in artwork but mostly I come for the words.I didn't interpret his post to suggest that he's necessarily going to be writing new blog entries:
The only thing I don't like about the blogs is losing some element of interaction between the characters. It's one thing for Cornelius to recount an event in the house from his own perspective but the same event feels different when it's presented visually and when Teodor or Lyle, say, can speak in their own voice rather than having their voice filtered and translated into Cornelius-ese. Ain't but one voice per blog, really, and I'm afraid that I'll miss the contrasts among all the alive stuffed animals and talking cats.
I want you to see that if you haven't read these blogs, Achewood isn't actually ending for you. It's starting all over, in a world of more and deeper material than you could hope to read in years. The blogs are where I personally think the heart and soul of that universe live.So presumably that would mean that if you have read the blogs, achewood is plausibly ending for you.
In spite of Trump's bluster he's easily manipulated. It seems that if you stroke his ego, he purrs like a kitten.
That doesn't make sense to me. If I was home all the time I'd want a roommate who was never there, sure. But if I was out all the time, who cares?Totally agree.
Either way though that is a bizarre thing to ask for. You can rent the apartment as long as you don't actually live there much? WTF.
A lot of NYC roommate ads specify that they want someone "busy" or "not a homebody." What is going on there?Definitely related. If you're not home, you're not using the apartment as much. You're not using electricity, common areas, not third wheeling, etc.
Also a lot of people feel the need to specify that they're never home, which could be related, or else could just be people bragging about how hardworking and special they are.
I call bullshit on this Fuck You Friday. There's not nearly enough Fuck Yous in it.More of a Fuck Me Friday.

I sure don't understand what Ray is talking about half the time.
Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to make a Pony Colada for my kids.
