Othello feat. Avery Brooks

Since there's a good number of DCites and near-DCites here, let me say that the current run of Othello at Folger's Shakespeare Theatre (7th and D, NW) completely rocks. It stars Avery Brooks (of "Deep Space Nine" fame), but the show really is stolen by the fellow who plays Iago. Top notch Shakespeare through and through. Will be playing through Oct 30, so I suggest you go, soon!

On a vaguely related topic, Shakespeare's Scum is going to be in Arlington next month doing 4 shows and Othello will be one of them. And this version has oral sex jokes with dead people.
