Better Beef Death?
« on: August 28, 2009, 04:28:21 am »

Reflecting on the latest strip, will today's modern televison set owner even understand the antiquated cathode ray tube "blink-out" meant to represent 'Beef's death? Could not Chris have come up with a more modern equivalent, say...

I challenge this board to come up with a superior death metaphor for nixing 'Beef than the one Chris devised.

Beef is techy but at heart is old school so I'd say an icon being deleted on windows 3.0.

Your bookmark bar just reminded me of the time I was in a therapy group with a guy who claimed to be a professional Walt Whitman impersonator.

Dude has colored my reaction to all Walt Whitman-related situations since.

These motherfuck*ng kids don't need any gods-damned coddling. If some young MySpace whore can't understand what a TV looks like when it turns off, he can take his head out of his ass and wipe the shit out of his eyes just like the rest of us did when we were two years old and we learned how to walk across the room and get our own sippy cup. Or he can go listen to brokeNCYDE and wear the ##### of the girl who won't fuck him because he can't do a single push-up to save his own life. Or maybe he can't see through his hair.

Everybody in this thread gets a dang 'ol can.

Also, now I really want to meet a Walt Whitman impersonator.  'cause he could really suck at it, but how would you know?

I rather like that there isn't any confirmation message. Seems appropriate, somehow.
