It's very cinematic in the way it's presented, with surprisingly beautiful interludes, and the period setting plays well. Intense is a good description, though. Six episodes a series keeps it very active, but there's a remarkable amount of character building to go with it. Recommended.

I'm going to drag Spouse into Baskets once we run the queue down. If she doesn't like it, it will become commute fodder for me.

Wait, Baskets is Hulu. Do they allow local content download like Netflix?

Anybody else watch Shameless?  Just finished Season 8 last night and facing a long drought until the new season...

I watched the first 7 on Netflix. About to see season 8 soon. It's not a perfect show, but I enjoy it. Also, lots of titties, which is nice.

Seriously I LOVED that show til the last episode which made me hate it.  Maybe Iím an idiot and everyone else said it was great.  Thanks for sort of agreeing!

I loved it. Admittedly, I am a sucker for a well placed technical set up for a big hit. It's very Charles Bronson, The Mechanic in that respect.

I keep trying to get to it because it's been highly recommended.
Too much media, too little free time.

Plus, I'm in the middle of series 3 for Peaky Blinders and those murderous fucks have my attention.

I got real bored with that one by the end. Those murderous fucks rank very high on the poor impulse control scale.

Season 8 is good.  Ian's plotline is stretching it a little, but Frank, as always, is amazing.  Frank goes straight.  For a while.
