Excuse me while I repost that in every possible place on the internet.

Lego version of those crazy Japanese 'Dekotora' trucks.

Is it wrong that this made me sad?  I long for a time when lego was simple.  I know we've talked about this elsewhere, but yeah.

Lego is still pretty simple. I mean, it can be. It's just that some people do amazing things with it. These aren't simple, but I think they are beautiful (may have been linked here before).

This:

I wish people would figure out that just because you CAN make stuff on the internet blink and fly around and dance doesn't mean that you should.... with some exceptions:

Reminded me that I hadn't posted this:

The whole thing was composed and shot by my six-year-old; Pedro just converted it to a .gif.

Does the brown car temporarily sprout bug eyes there? Because that is awesome.

They are puzzle erasers. He took a photo of each step of the putting-together process, and the eye pieces appear more prominent before the next piece goes in and partially covers them.

He calls this video, "McQueen grows up, and Mater grows up, and they go play." There's dialog, as well, which he happily provides in a voice-over.

The little blue one is Guido (the forklift who works for Luigi), but in this "episode" he stands in for a tractor. Mater honks his horn, and Guido falls over backwards, like the "tractor tipping" scene from the movie.

Now that I've done a tiny bit of neuropsych and stuff it's totally amazing how a little kid can do all the abstract thinking involved in 'this piece of plastic represents a character, but the character is going to pretend to be a different character to re-enact this scene'. Kids are awesome y'know?

Or maybe I'm just over-tired and full of coffee.

Yes! Especially a kid who is "supposed to" have unusually rigid thought patterns. He's pretty amazing.

This seems like an appropriate place to leave these Bangable Dudes (and some ladies) In History.

I can tell from the photograph they know what they are doing.  Nice big flames too.
