I thought the exact same thing as Wombat-- it's like using the handicapped stall.

I've barely used my HHonors membership, but I know with Marriott I get an automatic room upgrade when I book with points. Maybe Hilton does the same? Either way, I see no ethical conflict in booking the handicap room.

Acap: I was thirsty one day and I sat down. A year later, Jack's was built around me and thirst is a recurring thing.

Wombat! I have a FB friend asking the following:
"I'm looking for hotel recommendations for Tokyo for December 20-21. I'm doing a milage run to qualify for top tier status, using a flight pass that's about to expire. All I know is the one must-shop store is the Pokemon shop which is re-opening in Ikebukuro."

And I immediately thought of you. Suggestions?

I always stay at the same very small place and I just checked their website and they are full. I'm not sure I'd recommend it to someone who can afford to fly that much anyway, though. It's very modest.
