Some people seem to be missing the point of Jough's comment about Onstad's spouse.  He thinks he may have made her up.

I just hate to see our Number 1's depth of cynicism about human nature (or at least Onstad nature) going so woefully unappreciated.

If you morons would just look in the back of Achewood Vol II, you would see that he mentions his wife at the end of his little thank you note.

Christ.

Why would Onstand want to spend time with any of you? He couldn't even handle having a forum filled with you people.

Oh, and if you would bother taking a look at the front of Achewood Vol. II, the website, Serializer, the blogs, or 85% of the threads on this board, you would see that the artist's name is ONSTAD.  One "N".  Not Onstand.

I'm in agreement with c.del.v re the Ray thing.  The dude does have an advice column, after all.  He cares about people.  And their dignity.

He also mentions Roast Beef and Ray in Vol. II of his book - does that mean that they really talk too!?!?!

Make sure you actually understand what others have posted before you call them morons - otherwise you look like an idiot when you address something that isn't even an issue.

Man, I thought only steers and queers came from Texas, but I guess assholes do too.

Fair enough. To be totally fair, I cannot prove that Jough is wrong and that Liz is anything but a figment of Onstad's imagination -- so I'll leave the debate there.

"district," are you naturally this much of a jerkwad, or are you giving your best effort just for us?

Wow! a real life Pat Reynolds!  Say, why don't you go off and research ways to get a government grant so you can sue people full time?

Why would i want to spend any time with a psychologically damaged cartoonist 1/2 way across the country from me?

jeebus, just because people like your ART doesn't mean they like YOU.

From Nice Pete's Blog: http://www.maohai.com

He's famous for having the amount of facial/body hair that some other cultures/countries would deem "normal."  How very interesting.

Jumping topics to a more appropriate place, regarding the characters reading each others blogs:

Molly updates hers because she saw Beef was updating his. Then Molly proceeds to not understand what's preoccupying Beef, despite the fact that she could read his latest blog entry and find out.

Inconsistency makes baby Jesus cry.

It's entirely possible to see someone updating his blog, or hear of the event ("I just posted to my LJ" or whatever) without actually seeing the entry, I've done it before, on both sides.

Also, it's possibly she's deliberately not reading his blog; if they have a sort of Achewood-privacy agreement, I could see her allowing him his own thoughts, even though she's concerned about him.

Yeah, but he's actually not the hairiest guy around. He's 96% covered but there are these brothers in Mexico that are 98% covered. Wouldn't it be interesting to be the record-certifying individual?

Did anyone else try to read the Engrish parts of his website? I got dizzy and I had to click away.

I did find the Engrish painful, but the best part of the site is him singing Engrish, with bubbles and flashing lights.

Pretty much what I said over here.

From the people I know these sorts of agreements among IRL friends are quite common.

Really?  I would never be able to keep such an agreement.  It would drive me crazy.  If Molly is not reading Beef's blog because of such a deal she's a better woman than I am.

Wow.  I agree, this is nine kinds of stupid.  Don't want your diary public?  Don't post it on the internet, Einstein!
