Man, Little Nephew know's nothing about being an internet troll. I think it's time for Daedalus_X to take tha_snazzle under his wing. (First piece of instruction should be to get LN to choose a less lame name than "tha_snazzle." Is so newbie.)

I swear to God that I initially read that second sentence as "... take tha_snazzle under his wang." That was a special moment. "Hey, wait, I thought Chucklebot was the gay one -- ohh, wait."

You cold have a whoper in your mouth.

This wasn't my favorite free cartoon ever. It was as free as the rest of them, though.

Good call.  This would be the logical next step for the arc.

I doubt logic will play an important part in where this thing goes.

That's good, by the way.

That is so true.  So true.

I just thought it was a good call, is all.

Is Onstad trying to get a job writing for McSweeny's?

Is this his audition piece?

"Yes, Mr. Onstad, we here at McSweeny's like to follow the 'slightly amusing concept; weak delivery' formula for humour.  Can you be a little more mediocre?  You can?  Well, we'd like to see an example.  How about this Thursday?"

Here, instead of today's strip, you can "imagineer" images to a quickie three-panel Alternative Achewood Strip to soothe you and your woes, Jough and Jough-kin.

-- cut here --

Panel 1.
(Ray is speaking into the phone, wearing his signature leather jacket.)

Phone: Welcome to Alternative Meats, how can I help you?
Ray: Hello, this is Ray Smuckles, and I'm interested in your "eat a forgotten celebrity program." What cuts do you have?

Panel 2:

Phone: Well, we have rump roast of Abe Vigoda, Terrence Stamp flank, Alex Karras brisket, and this week only, a whole Ralph Macchio.
Ray (thought bubble): Ralph Macchio. I could eat a celebrity and rid the earth of the Karate Kid once and for all. This could be a Good Thing.

Panel 3:
(Caption: SOME TIME LATER. Ray and Beef are staring into Ray's toilet.)

Ray: ... and the next thing you know, I was brewing up a big batch of nasty all over the place!
Roast Beef: That is hell of nasty and yellow like Chinese Communism

It grew on me... there's something about Little Nephew bragging about how he's essentially got the mad skillz to plunge the entire earth into chaos, but then getting the proverbial internet beat-down on the Burger King chatroom (which is a funny concept in itself). It just seems so... Rayish. LN is definitely growing up to have Ray's ultimate cluelessness about the world that surrounds him.

Actually I think the reason I didn't find the 'LN as troll' part of the comic funny (unlike the 'anal BK chat mod' part of the comic, which was quite delicious) was probably for a reason that would be solved if it was Ray trolling instead of LN. Ray would go all out on this, he wouldn't just get beat down and leave it at that, he would keep coming back (see 'nonsense') LN just doesn't try hard enough.

Dude, what are you talking about?

Ray knows how to fuck with someone.

I don't think that being able to fuck with someone and being totally clueless are mutually exclusive. I mean, even LN did a number on Shirley Pang's ex. Maybe hubris runs deep in the Smuckles DNA or something.
