Did you know...
that someone should really go fix up the Achewood Wiki, the Achewiki, which could serve as a knowledge base for all things Achewood?

Wait a minute--it seems that the idea of consciousness in non-human animals has been denied here.  Do both of you really believe that non-human animals aren't sentient beings?

What V-Adore said. Animals have personalities, and then there are creatures like ants and bees that have what could be called communties, but they aren't building shopping centers and going to see the Mets play. That was how I was referring to it.

Who is Vincent J. Lemoni?

The gynmasium at Little Nephew's school is named for him. For now.

He's billionaire (feline) investor who developed the underground in 1945.

Did you miss Friday's strip about the history of the Underground?  Today's strip is part 2 of 2 to its part 1.

I think this may be Onstad's way of telling us that introspection and universe analysis is desperately overrated. But hey -- if massive incongruities and shifting continuity didn't dissuade Doctor Who fans, it won't dissuade me.

I would guess it's equal parts Onstad attempting to throw off geeks such as ourselves by altering canon and the rules of the Acheverse and him just decided the "hiding from humans" thing was too limiting as he originally set it up.

Ah.  I see.  I did see it on Friday but I guess I forgot. I have a migraine today and my brain is not functioning and I thought it would take some serious CortJstring to find out, rather than just reading the previous day's strip....  Thank you.

as to the sentience question and no-dogs policy.  I think that it is not so much that the dogs are not sentient as there is a wide spread bigotry and "specism" in the achewood underground.  Y'know back in the antebellum days they refused learnin to their slaves, afterwards there was segregation, in fact, black people were often compared to DOGS for their supposedly DOGLIKE behavior.

coincidence?

probably.

And the map makers need to get with the program, don't they know BankOne was bought by Chase?

They're still called BankOne around here.  And I still send my mortgage payment to BankOne and not Chase.

Not for long. Go to bankone.com. The Chase logo has higher billing. This month my credit card payments changed over.

Beef's Me Day springs to mind,

Plus Teodor's shrooms.

[edit: I didn't notice there was a 2nd page and that Ben-San already got the receipt. Damn me.]
