Indeed it is! I originally meant it to mean Cathy might smoke Garfield's pole. After reading this discussion, though, I've changed my mind.

It now means Garfield and Marmaduke would smoke eachother's poles while Odie videotapes the whole thing. Cathy, meanwhile, freaks out and calls the police. Or would animal control be more appropriate?

Noooo!  When I worked at the comic shop, the only guys who liked Liberty Meadows were 30 years old and living with their mothers, and owned mint copies of every Bone comic.  

Oh wait... the majority of my customers were 30 years old and living with their mothers.

And by the way, I take a sort of malevolent glee in imagining the kids from Family Circle being sold into sexual slavery.  "Jeffie, who sold your spleen on the black market?"  "Not me!"

To bring the topic full circle, Pedro used to do something similar with Marmaduke.  He used to imagine that just after the conclusion of the panel, a  family member took Marmaduke out back with a shotgun.  

"Honey, Marmaduke tracked mud on the rug again!  Get the shotgun and a shovel!"
