Capricorn married to Taurus.  This is, apparently, a good thing.

Thanks.

Oh, man, let us not get into the issue of "sign vs. SO's sign." The same friend who told me that I didn't believe in astrology because I was a Virgo reacted to my announcement of my SO-havingness with "his birthday is in August, right? So he's a Leo? A Leo and a Virgo -- that's so weird."

Astrology is complete bullshit, a pre-Copernican belief system that has no bearing on anything at all.

So I don't see why comparing SO signs is such a major faux pas, as opposed to just giving your own.  It's a real lateral move in terms of actual bullshit content.

Y'know?

Well, yes, I get you. At the time it just pissed me off quite a bit because I basically said "hey, here is this person who means a great deal to me, and I would like to share knowledge of this person of great value with you, who I consider a trusted friend" and the response was "oh, you two were born in arbitrary months? This makes your relationship strange!"

So it wasn't the sheer bullshit level, it was the inappropriate bullshit context. If that makes any sense at all.

This is exactly why you should not listen to people who are stupider than you.
