Wombat announces temporary whining hiatus
« on: November 17, 2005, 05:22:14 pm »
For those of you who may have been following along at home:  I have left the job that made me so demoralized that I had begun to not even bother to want to punch the bosses in the face.  Someone at the zoo I used to work at broke his foot, so I now have a job for three months there.  Which means:  A, a better job-interview excuse for quitting the old job than "management gave me migraines;"  B, not having to drive an hour to work in the winter; and C, a great learning experience with people I really like.

Let's hope I don't screw this one up.  But for now I am doing the little happy dance whenever I think of not driving to, or being at, the old job anymore.

How soon before you can start sneeking friends in to see the panda cub*?

*I'm too lazy to look up the proper term for animal offspring**

**also, I don't actually care about seeing the panda, I just think the preview period for "VIPs" was fucked up.***

***oh, and good for you.

Yeah, to fuck with the pandas.  If they won't fuck, they deserve to die.

Congrats Wombat, getting away from a crap job to a job involving cute* animals is awesome.

Cort: I misread that at first and thought you said 'Panda Club', thanks for about twenty seconds of befuddled amusement.

*or even not so cute, basically all animals are awesome.

Well, the previous job involved animals too, but it was mostly several hundred of the same kind of frog.  So both the people and the animals are much better now.

And much better than freaking PANDAS.  Don't get me started on pandas.
