It's funny you should say that.  When I last spoke to JL (she goes to sleep at a normal human time and I stay up all night and into the late morning) she wished me fun terrorising the board in her absence, and I said that I would be "Firm, but fair."

My personal call on the matter would be to assume any non-asshat poster is over 18 unless they display deep evidence of the situation being otherwise (such as, y'know, posting their age). I don't think this board is so big or so kiddie-attractive that we need much beyond an honor system.
