i think it would make more sense to put this forum on top instead of at the bottom:

Many new people will miss it, at first at least. I did. It took me a little while to learn the forums.

They might miss it, but having the Forum forum at the bottom is pretty standard. It's usually right below the OT forum, so most people know where to find it if they intended to read it.
