women's television

Most serial murderers have a poor opinion of women; this merely underscores Nice Pete's homosexual nature.

Nice Pete's a vicious murderer with no regard for his own bodily mutilation; but Lyle is hopped up on gin and gin makes a man mean.

The Drink is not a mere amplifier of aggressions, however, it is... in proper quantities... an animal-instinct override button.

Yes, in many cases, it may take Lyle to a land of fighting and destroying... but the baser drunken state would, in the case of dealing with Nice Pete, be a great strobe light flashing out the instinctive message:

"this is worse than an Alpha-male, this creature would be your death, stand down and drink another day"

The Drink makes you a strange kind of courageous when it's useful to be so, I've also seen many a man become a coward in its throes, when that cowardace is self-preservative.

Lyle is a firecracker, yes, but Nice Pete is an atom bomb.

Lyle knows this and... The Drink knows it too.

No longer allowed to play the one note that Nice Pete decrees as fitting? Get the hell out while the getting's good, Lyle.

On the other hand, Nice Pete's bound to have some sort of lynchpin holding him together that, once discovered, will serve as his undoing -- and Lyle's the man who could find it. An Achilles' Heel. NP's character is so bizarre and convoluted that there must be something simple that will prove to be his undoing. Like...perhaps a mortal fear of clowns or his secret penchant for dressing in drag. Something ugly is bound to happen out of the Mister Band debacle. Nice Pete wouldn't have it any other way.

Replacement options: Teodor, Ray, Little Nephew.   I would imagine Teodor's naked fear would stop him from even exiting his own room, LN would just not get it and be kicked out, and Ray wouldn't care/wouldn't want to get involved.  Would one of the *****s join?  Vlad already has the hair.

As a side note, I imagine Nice Pete's singing voice to sound a little like Geddy Lee's, but with more smoker's gravel.  I base this on the Aqua Teen Hunger Force episode he (Lee) appeared in.

Write in candidate: Opus.

The folks in Foxtrot are going Sunday-only. Maybe the nerdy kid or the lizard would have the spare time?

Or any cast member from "For Better or For Worse". I've always wanted to see THOSE fictional characters murdered.

Poor Lyle. Cait O'Riordan never had to put up with this.

To anyone who has recommended Vlad as the next bassist, I offer my concurrences.

my favorite part: that he tells him that his job is to make stew, and find his replacement. AND THEN HE COUNTS OFF FOR THE NEXT SONG.

The music is all in Nice Pete's head anyways

He must count off because this is how a music performance works. Each song begins with counting, even if there are no muscians to benefit from it.
