He made it sound as though Onstad's demands were irrational - but, then, he would, because anything Onstad wanted changed represented more work for him.

I'd believe that Onstad is difficult to please. Artists who are really invested in their work usually are. And he seems from his writings like the sort of guy who'll obsess for half an hour over the choice of a single word; it's not surprising that he'd have equally high standards for others who find themselves working on Achewood.

(Edit: Perhaps I should also mention that this former coworker is an extremely religious man, and Onstad's choice of material alone offended him.)
