@achewood There are only five Wodehouse books on my special Wodehouse shelf?! As Jeeves himself might ask, "Where in the fuck are the rest of them."

I'm now actually more confused about how heaven works in the Acheverse.

And what's wrong with pasta? Are some people too good for pasta? Screw you, chicken snobs.

I'm giving her a pass because she actually seems very understanding of Beef's needs/wants. I'm chalking this one up to poor phrasing.

Molly's parents' names make me even more convinced that Welsh is actually an Internet joke language, created by sneezing on the keyboard and accepting whatever combination develops as you wipe the snot off the keys with your sleeve.

"What is the typical Welsh greeting?" "gwwnnll frrwsazz."

How they can build a language around seventeen-letter words, where eleven of them are "w" and there's only one vowel, is beyond me.

In Welsh, "w" is a vowel.

Look, welsh is a complicated language. After years of trying to decode the stuff I can grow to appreciate it on some levels, but mostly it sounds like throat noises to the unacquainted. W has a oo sound. And the welsh greeting is Bore da - pronounced Bore-uh dah for morning or P'awn da/prynwhan da- pronounced Puh-noun dah.

In Welsh, "w" is a vowel.

That is the saddest thing.

I will not hear another word against Wales. Not another word.

I am turning off my text-to-speech program.

That is the saddest thing.
Yes, and what's even more tragic is that the Welsh experience mirrors our own current troubles with oil -- as far back as the 1700s, Welsh scholars were attempting to warn the literate Welsh of Peak Alphabet, the notion that graphemic production had reached its peak and would continue to decline steadily until it became prohibitively expensive to write using the Welsh alphabet.  Sadly, their calls were not heeded, and today the Welsh must make do not only with letters such as W and Y as vowels, but they've also attempted to further extend their usefulness with diacritical marks, like ŵ and ŷ.  Welsh linguists now believe that unless some alternative form of communication such as telepathy is developed, by 2100 the Welsh will be forced to reuse Phoenecian letters to write their language.

No blood for vowels!

They'll totally mount an invasion on Hawaii. Those bastards are hoarding all the vowels and creating false scarcity for the rest of us.

Evidence for the prosecution:
Exhibit A - humuhumunukunukuapua'a.  12 vowels for one little giraffe.
Exhibit B - lauwiliwilinukunukuʻoiʻoi.  14 vowels for yet another little giraffe.

For those of you who have seen TMBG's Here Come the ABC's DVD, you may be amused to note that my son loves to sing, "We're the Bowel family and we'd like to sing for you."

So.  Gross.
