@achewood The bus is crossing Klickitat St., home of Ramona Quimby. It's pretty swank these days. No sign of Nosmo King.

Steve isn't the driver, so who is? It might be a little cramped inside that AMC.

how many of philippe's story lines turn creepy? because i'm getting a vibe.

Nightlife Mingus is the driver.

The driver is secretly his brother Mycroft, in a putty nose.

Suspicion from whom?

Is... is this one of those times where they use shells or hulls or whatever when driving outside?

This strip seems pretty weird.  Like they are treating Philippe like he was a wild animal, a real otter.  Is Philippe's mother an otter that lives in the wild?  Are they sending Philippe back into the wild?

She clearly has a phone and pictures and whatnot so I'm assuming she's stuffed as well.

i think T just wants to be extra extra sure that P gets where hes going without incident.

Yeah, I'm trying to give Onstad the benefit of the doubt here as to why they are going through such an elaborate process to send the kid to see his mother.  T's got a million dollars in the bank.  Why doesn't he just rent/buy a car and drive Philippe himself.

I want to believe there's more going on than meets the eye.  Otherwise this whole send Philippe home storyline has been pretty stupid.  In my eyes that's never happened  before in Achewood.  Sure the Lash of Thanatos story had an unsatisfying conclusion, but I never doubted the logic of the characters.  I'm more than willing to suspend disbelief, but I need some reason why this makes sense.

They are animals, except when they're not.
