That is such a funny article, though. Mark Moffett is not exactly a "nature lover" and "former park ranger," he is a rather famous naturalist and photographer. In fact his Wikipedia page says he has written "eighty peer-reviewed scientific publications and three books." But I guess the Mail thinks it's a better story if it sounds like some regular guy stumbled on it.

I don't think the Daily Mail is known as the most reputable source. And in this case they wouldn't even need to print a correction.
