I just clicked on the tipjar link and it actually list the names of the people who have donated along with the price range they donated at.

He has 67 people who have donated at the $101-500+ level.  That's at least $6700 dollars right there.  Ad up the rest of the levels and I estimate somewhere in the area of $10,000 in donations.

That's a lot of money for a comic that updates once a month.

I'd much rather donate here than there. Sorry, but there it is. (Of course, I've given him probably $50, and then bought another $200 worth of shit.)

Obligatory two-week lack-of-forward-motion complaint.  This will be my final complaint, as I am removing Achewood from my bookmarks and saying goodbye.  I will check back with Achewood in a year and enjoy the dozen strips I missed. 

Which doesn't mean I won't be checking up on you guys.

My goddamn RSS feed does tricky things like listing 5 strips from 3 years ago, making me believe that there is new content.  I have no clue how this happens.  Currently appearing*: Circumstances of the Heart; From the Pages of Gentleman's Quarterly; Medical Discretion; Patching Up a Friend; This is Not a Strip!.

no, it really isn't easier. it's just different.

in my instance, subscribing to an RSS feed would be counter to the purpose of me not checking achewood.com, through a bookmark or otherwise, for a year or two in an effort to build up some number of strips to enjoy reading in a timely sequence.  in my instance, the RSS feed would be a fuck*ng tease that occasionally prompted me to read a singular strip devoid of any context in its arc due to the ensuing number of units of time demarked as "not giving a shit anymore" which have elapsed like water dripping onto the face of a torture victim tied to a bench press bench and forced to watch achewood not update.

I have a series of about 100 emails between Nick and I, due to an original art purchase I made (and we had a difficult time finalizing). He's quite funny in the emails as well.
