The Nats have $5 tickets.  But it's not just the tickets, it's the $8 beers and $7 hot dogs.  Theoretically one can go to the game and avoid those things, but that's just not as much fund.

the braves used to have what we called nickel nosebleeds - $5 for the upper deck. they've hiked the rate up to $8 now, though.

Clearly they need a Screaming-Eagles-style tailgate. I did the math and realized if I go to just one SE tailgate all season I've already broken even on my membership fee.
