Obama Releases Birth Certificate
« on: April 27, 2011, 11:59:57 pm »
End of Story?

Quote
In a statement after Obama spoke, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus called the issue a distraction — and yet blamed Obama for playing campaign politics by addressing it.

"The president ought to spend his time getting serious about repairing our economy," Priebus said. "Unfortunately his campaign politics and talk about birth certificates is distracting him from our number one priority — our economy."

Also, Donald Trump wants to take credit for being on point for this issue.  It's all yours Donald. Ha ha ha...

Yeah, it was all Obama's idea to distract the country with talk of his birth certificate - just like it was Kerry's idea to cloud all the issues with that Swift Boat thing.

End of Story?

Hell no. The poll numbers will improve but the theories are only going to get crazier.

Man, if they held off on this until now just so he could look sensible and statesmanlike and make his potential opponents for the 2012 race look foolish... well played.
Although probably not, if it was for that reason he probably would have waited until the middle of the republican primaries to throw the contenders into disarray.
Maybe.
I'm not actually quite sure how that whole primary thing works.

Actually, we're no longer in the market for that over here.

the only way to look sensible and statesmanlike is to not run for office.

I'm confused by this request - he's clearly mad, and he's just as clearly running for office.
