I don't think aphids would even ferment properly... doesn't it need to be vegetable matter? Can you make meat liquor? Or insect liquor?

What are all of your 'big house hacks'? I like to stuff a lunch tray in the back of my jumpsuit as a shiv shield. Also if you don't want to get in a fistfight over lighters, just light your smokes with the shower of sparks that shoots out of the outlet when you stick a fork in there.

You're talking about a stinger. Stingers don't have to be a fork. Just any kind of metal, like a broken piece off the air vent (thinner metal than the bunk and easier to stress fracture). A lot of people have hard-ons for stingers, but trust me, it is much safer to play around with the lighting fixture to get some heat or sparks.

Guy at my watering hole: "Acap, why do you keep coming to Jack's?They just serve shitty burgers and happen to have beers on tap."
Acap: I was thirsty one day and I sat down. A year later, Jack's was built around me and thirst is a recurring thing.

Back in the day I remember the thing was three pieces of graphite from a mechanical pencil which would explode quite satisfyingly.

I don't think it's so much the aphids as it is the plant sugars they typically gorge themselves with. Either the Onstad household has an ass-ton of aphids, or Lyle is very diligent when it comes to matters of spirit.
