@achewood The bus is crossing Klickitat St., home of Ramona Quimby. It's pretty swank these days. No sign of Nosmo King.

his latest kickstarter update

a gem: "I shipped about 75% of kickstarter rewards to backers. I will not be shipping any more. I will not be issuing any refunds. For every message I receive about this book through e-mail, social media or any other means, I will burn another book."

It made me feel nauseous. (...)I thought about how little I needed any of that money at all.

Is this guy for real? Can't he fathom simple things like medical bills, osteoporosis, the inevitable and progressively more expensive maintenance/repair of the mortal coil?

Why should I prove to people on the internet I deserve to eat and sleep? I don’t deserve to eat and sleep. I don’t deserve anything good or bad. There isn’t “good” or “bad” and there isn’t an “I” to deserve them.

Er.

That is scary. I never heard of that guy before but I hope he has friends or loved ones to intervene because he is clearly having a mental breakdown. I wonder if Kickstarter takes any action about something like this?

When he originally posted that kickstarter bit about how depression is a fake idea and he made a comic popular by pretending to have it I thought he was engaged in some sort of Kaufman-esque shenanigans. Now I don't know and am kind of bummed, I really like pictures for sad children.

its like the diary of that character from Into the Wild.  Only manic and nerdy, instead of hippy-ish.
