Have a shufty through your post history and tell us some interesting stuff possibly including:
How did you find the board: Google. I was 15 and a virgin to message boards and was scarily excited as at the time I fuck*ng loved Achewood.
First post: http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,2549.msg56104.html#msg56104 (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,2549.msg56104.html#msg56104). Next post was MisterQ abusing me and the other noobs.
First non-Achewood strip thread started: http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,2560.msg56346.html#msg56346 (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,2560.msg56346.html#msg56346) Embarrassing.
First avatar: An endlessly annoying home-made gif of David Byrne dancing during Life During Wartime. Sadly lost to the internet.
Stalker moment: http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,4370.msg117477.html#msg117477 (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,4370.msg117477.html#msg117477) Sorry Carlos
Best moment: Also lost to the internet but I was extremely proud of the gif I made of Teodor sucking Ray off
Lowest moment: http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,3048.0.html (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,3048.0.html) So many but trying far too hard to be a funny child among adults and getting can bullied for it by Bobby, which in hindsight was an extremely good thing. Cans really mattered in those halycon days. I never wrote Achewood fanfic ever again and look at me now
-
Thank you Judy for the trip down memory lane.
-
Mine are boring.
How did you find the board: Jough and I made it. From the sweat of our brow. Not in exactly the way babies are made, but close. (I miss him.)
First post: http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,2.msg3.html#msg3
First non-Achewood strip thread started: see above.
First avatar: The same one I use now. At this point, I'm afraid to change it -- nobody but Ash would recognize me.
Stalker moment: Every interaction I have had with Judy, ever.
Lowest moment: my short-lived attempt at writing a Ray's Place style humorous advice column. It was horrible.
Best moment: All of them. <3
-
How did you find the board: I got in right at the tail end of the Dumbrella days just before Onstad slammed the door in our faces. Fortunately we had a programmer in our midst that set up this board in near record time and posted a message on Dumbrella just in the nick of time. I joined this board on the very first day. I'm member number 12
First post: http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,2.msg40.html#msg40
First non-Achewood strip thread started: http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,5.msg42.html#msg42 (I was concerned about Merchandise sales back then apparently).
First avatar: The same as I use now. I've changed it a few times through the years, but I always come back to that one.
Stalker moment: Oh I don't know. I try not to be too stalkerish. I don't have such a good memory - did I ever try to stalk any of you? I want to meet all y'all though and have done so a few times.
Lowest moment: Too many to count.
Best moment: Not a single moment, just being known as the picture guy, however many moments it took to establish that.
-
Lowest moment: I talked through a different hat for a little bit because late 2006 found me yelling at people too much. I had a lot to yell about, but not here and in a misplaced way.
I remember that. I also remember some of the shit that went down that year in your life that led to you yelling a lot. It was understandable.
It was was really nice when you came back under your old handle, and stuck.
-
Yeah, but I've decided to heck with that AugustWest guy and carry a new avatar just to celebrate.
Not that I have to look at it.
heheheh
Just so long as you're prepared to take...
THE CONSEQUENCES.
-
Who is that science guy? And where did Ash go?
Seriously, Ash, I have had dreams about meeting you, and in them you always look like your (former) avatar. Pointy hair and all. Do you really want to take that away from me?
-
How did you find the board: I don't remember. Google more likely.
First post: here (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,2318.msg48983.html#msg48983) (it was also my first thread; that was the first account I used on this board. I had to throw it away because it got bloodily besmirched in an all-out fisticuff with, what, the whole board. I was dense(r) then).
First non-Achewood strip thread started: shit, hell if I can remember what to look for...
First avatar: (http://28.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_kxduv5ei521qzryvmo1_100.gif)
Stalker moment: I'm not much into that.
Lowest moment: The aforementioned fisticuffs.
Best moment: aw shucks
-
Ash actually ruined what would have been my best stalker moment, I guess, by coming up with an elaborate excuse for standing me up for our date for dinner when I was in California once.
I do recall that people were pretty impressed when I linked to a dog show entry for Onstad's dachshund, but I don't know if that counts.
-
Lowest moment: I talked through a different hat for a little bit because late 2006 found me yelling at people too much. I had a lot to yell about, but not here and in a misplaced way.
I remember The Great War of Touamb. It was not anyone's proudest moment. One of the admins even made a thread just to make fun of me. That was back when I guess we embraced the idea of yelling ideas at each other on the internet.
-
I don't remember a great war. I remember ACap and LFM having stupid arguments all the time, though.
-
Oh, that "Great War". Or as I prefer to remember it, "Smells kicks ass and takes names".
-
you mother bitching internet! i had a post all ready to go and suddenly googlechrome couldnt find the server. fuckityfuckfuckfuck!
-
How did you find the board:
google. i joined about a month before i got laid off last year. i was looking for an achewood-centered place to chill at that isnt assetbar(the myspace of achewood). I like to go there, but what i like more is conversing with a smaller, less chaotic group.
First post:
i posted a youtube music video (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,4314.msg133369.html#msg133369) of super models using power tools and industrial equipment.
First non-Achewood strip thread started:
the pink box (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,5118.msg137453.html#msg137453) thread
First avatar:
a pic of a zombie lego mini-fig that i had found on the internet
Stalker moment:
i have a crush on jay-ell <-----------that
Best moment:
ive only been posting for 7 months. give me some time.
Lowest moment:
see previous response
-
Stalker moment:
i have a crush on jay-ell <-----------that
take a number, rook
i came over in the initial migration from dumbrella (i'm #40)
first post: i don't even know what that nonsense meant (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,8.msg121.html#msg121)
first acheless thread: more nonsense, without "the" or "and" (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,109.msg1306.html#msg1306)
first avatar: probably beef a la science
stalker moment: beers w/ alohadawg
best moment: maybe making the gif of teodor's head-toss dance
lowest moment: like all the rest
-
If just meeting people counts as a stalker moment I have had rather a lot of them: Jough, JL, Pedro, CortJstr, Carlos, Choop, Bobby, Mrs Bobby... am I leaving anyone out? Have I really never met August and Paul in real life? Do I count having Onstad sign my arm?
-
(the myspace of achewood)
This is the second best analogy I have heard to explain the assbar.
(The first is that the assbar is the Hunts Catsup of Achewood.)
-
take a number, rook
aint no thang, steve.
-

Maybe if I can get out to that Green Street Festival next year.
I've met August, Jorge Faberge, Miles and uh... really, is that it? I thought there were more somehow.
-
First post: http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,2279.msg47977.html#msg47977 Not in this post, but... looking back makes me notice that I used to say funny things about achewood.
I found this board when I did a search for Achewood on google. I made a login and then somehow lost the password, and then registered again when I got a new email address, my senior year of high school. I think I was reading the threads all along, though?
first thread: http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,2328.msg49357.html#msg49357
first avatar: this one, but then I changed it to something else for a long time.
stalker moment: Hobot.
best moment: Um... I don't know?
lowest moment: remember all those times I made weird, intense posts about how girls make me sad. Also, remember how I still do that sometimes. Sorry, guys. If only you know how many of those I wrote and then deleted at the last minute because I sobered up enough/ calmed down enough to remember that no one has ever wanted to read that.
-
I've met Paul, Arkabee, Mr. Q and Inev.
-
yes, I was going to say, the only TOUAMB-er I have met is Mr. West.
Remember how I basically gave you a walking tour of a school you attended. What a goof.
-
i haven't met mrs.bobby but the beerskellar meet-up was cool, and mrs. choop was there. paul, i've driven through texas twice, but dinner in amarillo is not what i want to recall when we meet in person. there are a number of y'all i'd like to shake hands with.
-
I've met Paul, and uh, that's it. But do you really need to meet anyone else?
No stalker moments for me ... or maybe there have been?
I'm not going to go through my posts to find the lows, but looking at my first post(s), I realize that I had this annoying habit (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,570.msg9136.html#msg9136) of inserting the quote after the body of my post. And I'm sure I've been an asshole on more than several occasions.
As far as how I found the place, I think I was lurking at Dumbrella and joined TOUAMB in November 2003 after lurking a bit here.
I don't remember my first avatar, but I do remember getting chastised by side_show for one. In fact, I think I have the PM still:
Well, miles, you've really done it this time! (kidding)
I'm very happy that you finally got an avatar, and I realize people ribbed you into getting one only recently, and though I do find it humorous, it basically turns the whole board into a not-safe-for-work situation.
I'm fully schooled in the story of Manneken Pis because my mother was adopted and raised by Belgian immigrants, and I have a warm place in my heart for it and even have a mini-statue of him at home, but really, I work at a children's theatre, and while everyone slacks to the point where no one cares if I'm on the board at work, I'm pretty sure someone will say something if they see me going to a site that has an image of a little boy pissing into an adult's mouth. It's just not okay with some people, like the people in Florida mentioned in the Wikipedia entry, who now have mixed feelings about waffles. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manneken_Pis)
You finally got an avatar, and now, in my first duty as a moderator I'm asking you to change it.
Sorry dude.
side_show
As I recall it was an image of Manneken Pis on the outside of a public restroom in Berlin, and see, cleverly, a friend of mine was positioned under it, as if it were pissing into her mouth. Maybe that was the first?
First acheless thread (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,1022), in which the protagonist demonstrates that he is a complete fucktard. I think that was the first one.
Best moment? I don't know. Probably cruising in this this bad motherfucker (http://www.flickr.com/photos/pmcd9/2221698385/). But I remember that this exchange (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,1524.msg30240.html#msg30240) was fun. Because, you know, David Bowie. Also, collar-free shirts, and linguistics.
-
How did you find the board: I created it with JL from the ashes of Dumbrella when douchebag wanted to take his ball and go home. He just forgot that the ball was ours. This board is basically our retarded internet baby.
First post: Christ, I don't know. You can't look this shit up for yourselves? It was probably something banal and introductory. JL was the real den mother of the board. I just like, FTPed some files and made some graphics and stuff. Oh, and 'stad gave me permission to use some of the characters in a board logo, which was decent of him.
First non-Achewood strip thread started: I hope it was about lesbian pr0n, Jay-El, or some combination of the two.
First avatar: I think it was still this one.
Stalker moment: Let's face it, kids, there's nothing you can post on this board this isn't vaguely stalkerish.
Best moment: I think it was the "Suckin' Dick Got This Man" wedding invitation I made for JL. Or really, just getting to know some of you.
Lowest moment: Forgetting that this thing was still going strong(er) without me.
Let's see, I've met Wombat, AugustWest (although apparently he doesn't remember), and Carlos DelVaca, which was somewhat recently and I have a photo somewhere that I haven't uploaded anywhere yet to prove it.
-
I've met Paul, Arkabee, Mr. Q and Inev.
You met the elusive MisterQueue.
-
i haven't met mrs.bobby but the beerskellar meet-up was cool, and mrs. choop was there. paul, i've driven through texas twice, but dinner in amarillo is not what i want to recall when we meet in person. there are a number of y'all i'd like to shake hands with.
I love you Choop, but I ain't driving to Amarillo to meet you, that's like a 10 hour drive from where I live.
-
Best moment? I don't know. Probably cruising in this this bad motherfucker (http://www.flickr.com/photos/pmcd9/2221698385/).
Heh! That was fun. Wish there were more people out that night for us to strafe.
-
miles i'm canning you for reminding me of so much good times.
jough i heard you lost like two hundred pounds and that you're cool and that i'm a dick. i know the last is true. let's meet up at some point. i still want to know how you pronounce it.
-
to pronounce it correctly he would have to rip out your tongue.
-
Choop, I don't know if I'm cool, but you're definitely a dick. ;)
Yeah, if you're ever in the midwest, ping me. I'm good for a drink or two.
-
Let's see, I've met Wombat, AugustWest (although apparently he doesn't remember), and Carlos DelVaca, which was somewhat recently and I have a photo somewhere that I haven't uploaded anywhere yet to prove it.
FUCK. I knew I was forgetting one. And El Guapo no less!
-
I was in Chicago with my lady a couple of weeks ago, but I did not think of contacting a friend from the internet while I was there.
I will be back in like a month? Probably.
-
TP lives in Chicago, maybe he and Jough should have a drink sometime.
-
Yeah, if you're ever in the midwest, ping me. I'm good for a drink or two.
It's true. We had PANCAKES together.
-
Yeah, if you're ever in the midwest, ping me. I'm good for a drink or two.
It's true. We had PANCAKES together.
you guys did drink pancakes?
-
Yes. We mixed pancakes up in a blender. And drank them.
(If there was a Facebook fan page for "Repeating ridiculous things back to the people who said them as if you're completely serious," I would become a fan.)
-
I would say "call me if you're in the Southeast and we'll have a couple of drinks," but as Bobby found out via text the other night, I am really only good for one drink any more.
I ordered a cosmopolitan with dinner Thursday and had to walk around Barnes and Noble for an hour and a half until I sobered up enough to drive home. Does this make me old? Yes, it does.
-
You know, I'd feel bad about bumping zombie threads but look what happened with the other one.
How did you find the board: I came over on the MB Mayflower, I guess. I'm number six (hey - the Prisoner!), but number three and four were sort of dilletantes.
First post: This (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,2.msg6.html#msg6). Not very interesting, but it was the fourth post on the board. Also, I answered Slink's question and he missed it completely.
First non-Achewood strip thread started: This thread about music (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,75.msg780.html#msg780). Surprisingly, I stand by many of the things I said there. I mentioned SFA as a band I should be listening to, and Keith finally got me listening to them this year.
First avatar: I think it was a football helmet, but I'm not sure.
Stalker moment: Not sure. I did ask "Somebody Nice" if she wanted to hang out sometime, since she's the only person I was likely to be near anytime.
Best moment: Eh . . . hmm . . . I made some jokes.
Lowest moment: I don't think there's anything here too terribly bad. I did call up Mr. West and leave a rambling drunken message on his answering machine once.
Meetups: None yet*, but when I'm home this time I'm going to propose an Australia trip to see if Doc looks like his avatar. Also, at some point I ought to hit the eastern seaboard, as many of you seem to be sprinkled around down there.
*Edit: Lowest moment was when I just realized I forgot that I met Smick, or something. I forgot I met him here, because I've seen him several times, not just the once.
-
I stick by everything I said on the first page of this post.
-
Lowest moment: I don't think there's anything here too terribly bad. I did call up Mr. West and leave a rambling drunken message on his answering machine once.
That was you?
-
I missed this one the first go around.
How did you find the board: Shortly after the Dumbrella board had its death rattle, I googled and found everyone here.
First post: a discussion of my favorite strips (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,47.msg1916.html#msg1916) I'd have to say, from my list this one doesn't really hold up (http://achewood.com/index.php?date=01172003). I think it was too "of a time," unlike the others.
First non-Achewood strip thread started: It was a thread no one responded to! (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,234.msg2821.html#msg2821) I'd like to point out that Kochalka is still going strong.
First avatar: Same as now, same as always.
Stalker moment: I don't know if I've had one. I got overly flirty with Jough at a certain point.
Best moment: This post. (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,2513.msg55325.html#msg55325) The experience and writing about it affected me significantly. First off, I ended up sending in an edited (shortened) version of the story to a contest for the community paper in the neighborhood it was written about, and it was published, and I ended up winning first place and $150 for it. I was invited to become a contributing editor and later join the paper's publishing comittee. Then, over time, I ended up writing a play with a character partially inspired by that neighbour and then later working at an HIV health centre (which lead to an extended absence from here).
Lowest moment: In an online chat with a group of other TOUAMBIES I drunkenly took off my ##### at the urging of Misterqueue and others. It's still one of the weirdest things I've ever done. If it's any defense, I was not the only one with my ##### off, or so I was told.
Meetups: None. It's sort of a shame. Maybe one day.
-
It is my position that since I am about to publish a book based on stuff that I wrote about on the internet, and that this was the first place I ever wrote about things on the internet, every minute of the - wait, let me check it - 105d 17h 31m that I have spent here, counts as work-related.
So Smells, I love the story about that post, it is very supportive of my rationalization.
-
Absolutely wombat - like when it comes to an athlete, sure game day is the focus, but all the training is the true occupation.
I'm thinking about starting another writing project (undecided what or how at this point, but the urge is coming back), possibly in a different genre than theatre, and thankfully posting here has kept writing, so I don't feel totally rusty.
-
This line is golden, "Never be too pessimistic - you think the worst, but it could really just be a sequined drag queen."
It can't stand by itself, unless you're trying to befuddle the listener, but in trying to find out what it means, you get treated to the world as seen by side_show.
-
I guess another sort of low moment for me is that I never got involved in any of the IRC stuff. That would have been fun, and I feel like I've missed some of what makes this place what it is, and there aren't archives for that stuff.
-
I think I was involved? Maybe not? I think I was, but at a point where the characters all got mixed up in my head.
-
I was never involved in the IRC stuff either.
-
I was a little bit. I think it was pretty short-lived.
-
I took a gander at my first posts to see what my first non-achewood thread was.
They were much better written than my recent posts. Depressing.
-
I took a gander at my first posts to see what my first non-achewood thread was.
They were much better written than my recent posts. Depressing.
I feel the same way.
No, no - about mine!
-
Good thing you clarified there, because I could sense Jorge was about to start fumbling for some rope.
-
I was a little bit. I think it was pretty short-lived.
I idled for months in the IRC room. Pretty much I logged in and forgot about it. I would show up from time to time to talk for a few minutes and then vanish again.
How did you find the board: I was on the Dumbrella board as "Thumbwrestler" which is a lurky sockpuppet handle I will use to read message boards. I never posted there. Then later went back to find it again, and discovered it was gone, prompting me to find this place. In lurking for a while here, I discovered that I knew Bobby from elsewhere on the internet. Even more so, I had repeatedly banned him from my IRC networks. (He kept correcting my spelling during a conversation he wasn't even involved with, and everything about him came off as "LOOK AT THE BIG BRAIN ON ME") so I was decidedly an ass about it, since I'm a short man and had some measure of technological authority. That prompted me to sign in here as "Smick" which is a smash 'em up of my first and last name, instead of the usual internet name-plumb I use everywhere else. Months later, we were sitting in the IRC channel and he realized that he recognized my ISP host and pressed. I ate crow. I still see him elsewhere on the internet.
First post: A discussion of how to pronounce a greek food. (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,2679.msg60473.html#msg60473) It came 10 minutes after I registered. It was that post that made me finally register and join the conversation, I guess.
First non-Achewood strip thread started: It is also my first ever started thread. (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,2830.msg66489.html#msg66489) Almost 2 months after joining up. I had read about these glasses in Make. I still kind of want them, but no. It's awful.
First avatar: I want to say it was a loop of Kirk yelling "KHAAAAAAAAN" that at some point it was decided looked decidedly pre-facial with his fist all shaking and jerking furiously.
Stalker moment: I too got flirty with Jough, and was shot down cold. Actually, mostly it was when Jough called me a stalker for always hanging out in the aforementioned IRC channel but never saying anything.
Best moment: HARD TO SAY. I have to think it was very recently when you guys showed so much support over in that monolithic "Today" thread when I was gearing up to say funny things into a microphone in an attempt to get instant approval from strangers. That was seriously pretty awesome.
Lowest moment: There are a lot of these. I think my post count would be about twice as high if I didn't keep writing posts, and then deciding "This is awful, and it sucks plus it is dumb." and closing the window. ALTERNATIVELY: You can take that as my UNDYING dedication to QUALITY.
Meetups: I've met Nabu on multiple occasions, and enjoyed it, even though he thought it was forgettable. I almost met Linnea when she came through PDX once, but I was having life turmoil and neglected to do much of anything for a while there.
-
I would show up from time to time to talk for a few minutes and then vanish again.
big surprise ::)
-
I've put in an unlikely-to-be-approved request to attend a work related training in Portland on July 22nd. Will the stars align?
-
No life turmoil here presently!
-
How I found the board: I joined Dumbrella maybe two weeks before the end, after googling to try to find more Achewood info.
First post: Favorite strips list (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,47.msg679.html#msg679).
First non-Achewood topic: Asking about forum titles. (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,439.msg6265.html#msg6265) Yawn.
First avatar: Not sure, but I think it was the face of the mascot from this photo (http://www.bigfool.com/mascots/cylo.jpg).
Stalker moment: meh, not many. Probably commenting on Starlight's blog.
Best moment: I would suggest this instance of my occasional catchphrase (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,1832.msg37546.html#msg37546), because it was rewarded by Arkabee (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,1832.msg37556.html#msg37556), and I believe that eventually led to the tiny cans of Dr. Pepper system.
Worst moment: Some of them knock-down-drag-outs with AD. Not that I regret any of my positions or standing up for them, but I gather the overall tone and environment led to him ditching the board, which is a shame.
Meetups: the well-documented DC gatherings, plus I met Jough in Chicago and Ash in Anaheim.
-
How I found the board: I think I joined Dumbrella a few months before it shuttered. I lurked for a bit before that. But I was here day 1.
First Post: Welcome thread (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,2.msg17.html#msg17)
First non-Achewood topic: Hollywood's Hottest (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,32.msg293.html#msg293) I think. Man, there's so much early board stuff I don't remember saying at all.
First avatar: I picked this as my AIM icon in the mid-to-late 90s and don't see myself changing it any time soon
Stalker moment: reading Zart's journal on Last.fm, I guess.
Best moment: Hands fuck*ng down it's this (http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,4316.msg115661.html#msg115661). No contest.
Worst moment: nothing springs to mind. Any time I kind of skim, especially the serious posts, I feel guilty about it.
Meetup: the DC ones plus Baco de Mayo (3x) and Bobby's BBQ and Virgin Sacrifice
-
I'm stuck at my day job about to die of boredom and over-airconditioning so I guess I'll finally try to do this.
How I found the board: Came here right from Dumbrella, which I am pretty sure was the first internet messageboard I ever joined.
My first post: how I found Achewood.
http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,19.msg246.html#msg246
My first thread started was a non-Achewood topic: A recipe contest that no one entered. I seem to have gotten over the embarrassment and rejection.
http://touamb.com/index.php/topic,134.msg1509.html#msg1509
First avatar was the one I have now. There was a brief period of pug but mostly it's always been this.
Stalker moments: I can't think of any board-member-stalking moments, unless Cort is correct that reading Zart elsewhere on the internet counts. But then does it count to, like, follow Q's pictures on Flickr? (Which he has recently deleted, by the way, so don't bother trying).
If Onstad-stalking moments count, as I wrote on the first page, I am still fond of the time I linked to an entry in a dog show for his dachshund. Someone else actually found that for me, so it was like I had a whole staff devoted to stalking. I guess I did also go to his book signing and only tell him my first name - maybe that was kind of sneaky since it turned out he did know who I was and I am not sure if I intended to explain it.
Best moment, I have no idea, surely that isn't for me to judge?
Worst moment, probably the time I deleted the whole thread where people linked to their real name social media sites, when Shithead was doing his thing, and it was later pointed out that I could have moved it to the private board, at least. Sorry. I was just trying to keep you all safe.
-
I've put in an unlikely-to-be-approved request to attend a work related training in Portland on July 22nd. Will the stars align?
OHHHHHHH SHIIIIIIIIIIT!
Which is to say, I hope so. And, upon looking at my calendar, I see that's five days after I return to work. What sucks is life.

I guess I've sort of stalked Onstad, in a way. I sent him a bottle of booze back in Dumbrella days, and then somewhere toward the start of this board I bought him a couple CDs off his Amazon wishlist. Then when I first joined FB I noticed a lot of folks from here were his friend there, so I sent a request, which has remained unfulfilled.
Smick, I was thinking about how I forgot about our meetups - but the thing is, I never think of having met you through here. I just always think "that is a guy I know".

"That's Smick. I know him. I know Smick."

No doubt with less weed-induced thought bubbles, these days.

OHHHHHHH SHIIIIIIIIIIT!

My proposal to attend the training was shot down immediately, so it seems it was not meant to be. Too bad though - I just learned more about Portland in the past day than I knew in my entire life up until then. I had to look on a map to find out where it was. Being Canadian, Oregon is as abstract a concept as what working in a career as a Luchador would be like. I have only the vaguest of ideas. It actually sounds like a pretty decent place to visit based on geography though.

Plus it has smick! Well, and me, but smick!
A buddy I know here who plays music has a side project in which he plays drums, shirtless, with a Luchador mask on. Other people will join him and play various instruments, depending on who/what is available, but there's never anyone else steady in his band. It is probably better in your imagination than in reality, but he's still a good guy.

Oh totally! I was just being playful. But thinking about it, we've said like 5 or 6 sentences about Touamb, and Achewood in person. I think it is largely because the times we've had hang outs, you were kind of vanished from the board.

That's a good point.

Oh man, I've been to a bunch of cities that you people live in over the past few years. I always forget to hit up the board to see if anyone wants to meet up.
Anyone still in Hawaii?
